Reawakening

Mira, and Kassandra were silent for a moment, until Kassandra very loudly screeched "You like him!" adding on to the conversation they were having.- Mira knew she did, but didn't admit it to anyone, she doesn't trust anyone. "N-N-No"... Mira said not as loud. Mira then became angry. Angry at herself for stuttering, even she knew stuttering only further proved it. " It's okay Mira I remember back in high school last year I liked, like 17 guys, I confessed my love to them all, but only 4 liked me back, and I chose one, but ended up with none in the end, and I won't tell anyone."
      Mira had a strange feeling, she felt like she could trust Kassandra. Kassandra seemed nice, and trustworthy. Mira only thought her grandma was, but Kassandra reminded her greatly of grandmother. The fact of Kassandra reminding her of her grandma made her feel very happy, yet made her want to cry because she missed her grandma. Mira was silent for a short while then she quietly said "so what if I do". Kassandra heard her, and said "See it's alright, I'm pretty sure he'd like you too." "Well, I guess" Mira replied in an unsure, yet nervous voice.
        The next day Mira ran into Rick in the hall. 'Hey Mira, what class are you going to, um if you were going to a class, I'm um going to writing." "So am I" Mira replied with a sort of happy tone in her voice. " Do you know how to get there? asked Rick. "Well, no I forgot" Mira lied. "Then I can walk with you" Rick nervously offered biting his lip. "Okay...Replied Mira.  Mira followed just behind Rick, he was walking slowly so Mira could be parallel to him. Mira was looking straight down, they finally approached the classroom.
      They were a few minutes late, but the professor didn't notice he was busy looking over some papers. "Lucky, aren't we I thought we'd have to listen to professor Wilson rant again" Rick jokingly said. Mira showed a half-smile, and let out a playful "yeah". Mira, and Rick took two seats by the back close to each other. The professor went on, and gave a lecture while the students took notes. Rick looked over at Mira a lot thinking she wouldn't notice, but he was wrong.  Last night Kassandra informed Mira on "how to  tell if a guy likes you", and looking over at you was a sign, and that made Mira glad. Mira was nineteen, and had never had a boyfriend. That made Mira feel strange. Even Mira knew how many other girls have had boyfriends last year. Mira didn't know why that bothered her. It really shouldn't.
        After Mira's morning classes she sat down on a bench in the school's courtyard. Kassandra practically ran over there, and excitedly said  "Hey Mira meet my friends from last year who also came here Robin, and Carrie". Robin was on the left side of Kassandra she had short light brown hair, dark brown eyes, was light skinned, and she looked untrustworthy, and had a bored expression. Carrie, on the right side of Kassandra was dark skinned, had medium length flat-ironed black hair, dark brown eyes, and a small smile on her face, which wouldn't give away her outgoing,  party-girl personality.
