The Adventures of Ace, Zeal and Candy

The Raid (present time)

It was getting close to night at Carbon and Zeal was waiting for just the right time to depart with his other group to start the raid on the neyatene transport "man, wonder what goodies they'll have for us today" one of his friend walked over to him "probably the usual scraps and junk parts but who knows, maybe today'll be different" Zeal was waiting for the sun to fully set before they set out to begin their weekly transport raid "come on.... hurry up and go down sun" he walked around carbon impatiently waiting for the sun to go down, he walked over to a local vendor and bought a can of jelly fizz "you can say what you want about humans but boy do we improve on what they brought with them" he cracked the can open and sipped on it, he enjoyed fizz just as much as he enjoyed the fries he would eat with his fish. the sun had finally set "alright time to get this raid started" he walked over to one of the trains with his crew and hopped inside the caboose "alright so wheres the next raid gonna be?" he asked as one of the raid members laid out a map of the nearby regions "so today were cuttin it a lil close, just a tad bit" Zeal furrowed his brow "how close are we talking?" the member tapped his fingers together "a-about a few miles outside of the neyatenes home region" Zeal stepped back a bit "okay.... now thats too close for comfort... but when has that ever stopped us before?" the others shook their heads "alright, lets do this"
Zeal slid his goggles on over his eyes. Zeal quickly jumped off the back of the train with his dustboard powered on, his board almost bounced along the ground but the fans went to full power before that could happen. The other raid members did the same getting in formation. They cut across the cold forest ground of the night carefully maneuvering around trees inching closer to the main road the transport would travel along, they had been careful in plotting their raids always spacing them apart in time and in distance so the neyatene wouldnt set up counter measures or after a certain point would lower their guard and be caught by surprise. They usually drilled into the sides of the transport riding alongside it while two others would distract the guards that protected the transport giving the small group of four drilling into the hull enough time to fill their sacks with parts and tech before speeding off into the forest back to carbon to inspect the parts to see if they had found anything valuable to the neyatene or something that might give them an edge on combating neyatene weapons and technology.
The group already knew that the neyatene would use control collars on any sykions they would capture and brain wash them to do what they said, the only way to remove the collar was an easy flaw that the neyatene can't seem to currently fix. a simple magnet would scramble the collars signal and the locking mechanism would unlock allowing whatever poor sykion was captured to escape. Unless there were guards with trank darts or stun blasters then the sykion would be captured again or killed on spot. The transport came into view as they readied their equipment. Something seemed off, there werent any guards riding along the transport "hey where are the guards?" the raid members slowed as several shots of stun blast fire rang through the air "Scatter!" one of the members yelled and threw down a smoke bomb he had made allowing the others to escape. zeal looked around before leaving to see one of the smallest youngest raid members being cornered "oh no you dont!" he lunged from his board with his wrench in his hand and smacked one of the neyatene extremely hard making a loud CRACK noise as it fell, he then hopped onto the chest of another and jumped off as the other neyatene shot and stunned its companion "run!" he grabbed the young one and made sure he could get out of sight but unfortunately for Zeal he was shot by a blast from one of the neyatene but this time it was set on a lethal setting tearing a hole right through him, he screamed in pain and stumbled back in an attempt to escape but the neyatene were already on him, he screamed and held his hands up in an attempt to defend himself but red and orange sparks came from his palms electrifying and burning the neyatene infront of him, at the last moment a female Torian appeared behind the remaining neyatene, her fists turned to stone as she smashed into several of the neyatene making sure they were down before dragging Zeal to a safe secure area

"hey are you alright?" Zeal stood for a few seconds before falling to his knees "a-ah.... barely..." the torian looked at him "just what do you think you were doing going against the neyatene alone?" Zeal gave a pained expression "i had a group.... we were doing a raid on their transport but it went wrong.... they were waiting this time, the others got away but i stayed behind to help one of the youngsters get out" "hmmmm...." she looked at the wound on his chest "how bad does it hurt?" he stood again "just a flesh wound..." she shoved him down on his back "stop moving or you'll bleed to death, wait here. Im going to bring a friend over" he laid on the ground as she walked off, he heard a staff tapping the ground as a brown wolf made her way over to him using the staff and her senses to find him, she kneeled down next to him and put her hands on his waist "it will sting a bit and itch but it will heal" she slowly healed his wound "it will leave a scar though...." she finished as the wound sealed itself up "once you feel up to walking again i'll be over there with my friend leather" she walked away and sat next to leather lost in thought, Zeal thought to himself "t-thats a healer, but she has the apparel of a collector...."
Zeal stood and walked over to them, he sat beside the wolf "show me your gift" she spoke with a subtle tone "uh er... it just short of happened" Leather stood "gift?" "yes leather, he is like me" "he cant be a collector sage" sage sighed "i mean i sense the chokio in him flowing with electricity like me" she held out her hand as blue sparks started to appear  "just focus" Zeal stuck his hand out and concentrated on his energy, red and orange sparks danced across his fingers "mines different" he spoke holding the other hand to his new scar "all chokio is different, yours is electrically charged but laced with fire, some of these powers are random and vary among sykions and wether it is permanent or not i do not know...." she stood with leather "you take your time, if you wish to speak with us again we will be in Saphora" she walked off with leather "hmmmmm...." he dug his toes into the ground wondering if he could have any contact with salana, she appeared behind him shortly after "what is it little one?" she asked looking at him "I-i.... i dont know how to use this properly...." she put her hands on his shoulders "In life there are many things that we do not know how to use. You will not be able to learn how to control it on your own, you will need the help of a friend" Zeal was a bit silent, his hand still on his chest "oh man..... Candy and ace will freak when they see this....." "tell them the truth about what happened.... they will be happy that you are still with them, go now little one before your friends begin to worry" he nodded and hugged her as she hugged back "thank you.... for watching over us..." she smiled "its my duty to watch over all my children" she let go and he walked in the direction of Saphora stumbling a bit,he turned around and she was gone. He put his dustboard down and laid on it letting it carry him towards the small town
Leather stopped it with her foot "you might wanna get up before people start tripping over you" "right" he stood up and looked at them both "thanks again, for the help" Sage nodded "anytime" "come on sage, you ready?" "yes" the wolf and the torian both left together, Zeal made his way back to the house

Zeal walked into the front door and closed it behind him "hey sweetie" candy walked up to him and saw the scar on his chest "w-what happened" she panicked "hey its alright.... let me tell the story" he explained to her what had happened on the raid and about the Fox and Torian that had saved him but he left out details about his power and about calling to Salana "well.... at least your okay....." she put her hand to the scar "its fine, the skin will scar but my fur will cover that up" candy hugged him tightly "just don't go on the raids anymore please....." Zeal frowned "okay.... i promise" ace walked in and saw his scar "hey what happened to you?" Zeal sighed and explained the story a second time to him "well the important thing is that your okay" he got up and went to his room and laid down
"im gonna go shower before i go to sleep, wait for me in the bedroom okay?" candy nodded and went into their room laying down waiting for him to join her. He went into the bathroom stripped his clothing bathed and dried off, got dressed and joined candy in their room "love you honey" he said to her blushing "love you too sweetie" she kissed him on the cheek and fell asleep
Zeal's dreams were at ease but he had this deep feeling of gloom looming over him that something bad was going to happen in the near future and that he would need to contact Sage to ask if she could train him to use his powers better, he also did't want to tell candy and ace but he knew he would have to eventually or they would find out themselves and be disappointed with him
