The Adventures of Ace, Zeal and Candy

The week (Candys pov after zeal left)

Candy was sleeping in her bed a bit worried about Zeal leaving to go on an expedition to crescent island, she felt as if something bad would happen to him while he was there. He had already been gone for one day out of his seven in the week and she was now eager to see his warm smiling face again, she was curled up in a small little ball in the blankets holding onto Zeal's old leather coat that he used to wear before he changed his wardrobe setup. it still had his scent on it and this comforted Candy, she prayed for his safe return so that she could just hug him tightly. They had been sharing a bed for a few months now, but now that he was gone she felt uncomfortable without him there and since ace was the only other male in the house now it made her feel even more uncomfortable. She woke up at the crack of dawn and got up to begin her daily routine, "well its time to start the day" she walked over to the bathroom and got in the shower, she originally had it set to be closer to her three foot five height but when Zeal came into her life and started living with her she had to get the height on the shower head adjusted to be better for his five foot height. As she bathed she pondered "is zeal still getting taller? If he is then ill have to get a separate shower put in this bathroom just for him" she giggled a bit since the thought of having two showers in the same bathroom was a bit silly. She didn't mind Zeal having an additional foot and a half on her but it was actually fun since Zeal would occasionally carry her around in his arms calling her princess candy, he even gave her a boost on his shoulders whenever there was something too tall for them both to get on there own at the market on the shelves. she finished bathing and dried off, she got dressed and went to go check in on ace. She slowly opened his door to find him still asleep, he looked like he needed the sleep since the first day he had arrived he looked extremely tired. She wanted to know where he had come from and felt like questioning him as soon as he woke up.
She felt like it would go against what Zeal had told her in waiting for him to feel comfortable enough for him to tell them both or else they would lose his trust which would probably cause him to run off and get captured by the royal knights and taken to goodness knows where. Ace had woken up, he had yawned and stretched as she left the door and went to go make breakfast, Zeal always made the best breakfast but she was equally as good as him in the culinary arts of cooking but she felt as if Zeal's tasted better, possibly because he would season what they ate more than she did. She finished cooking and set up Ace's plate and waited for him to enter the room, ace slowly walked into the room "m-morning" he said, "howre you feeling this morning" "better than how i felt yesterday" "I made you some breakfast" she sat down in her chair and started eating "thank you" ace sat down and ate as well this time at a normal pace since he wasn't starving like he was the last time he had eaten breakfast "w-when will zeal be back?"
candy looked at him "he said he would be back in about a week" she got up and walked over to the fridge "we're running low on food, I'll have to go to the market to get some more. You think you can handle being alone here for around an hour?" Ace finished his breakfast "i can handle it" candy smiled "good" with that candy finished her breakfast put their dishes in the sink put on her coat and left to the market for some groceries, she remembered how much food Zeal would eat and now they also had ace who was the same size as Zeal, Candy ate just a bit below what they did and she was a bit pudgy but she didn't mind that since she didn't always have time to maintain her looks but she didn't mind her looks since Zeal thought she was adorable and beautiful the way she was, she entered the market with her purse and was greeted by one of the cashiers "morning miss cottontail, Zeal not with you today" "no he's away" she went on her way getting all the groceries  she needed, Zeal was very strong but candy was equally as strong as him, despite her size she is her own bouncer at her brothel. She once had to throw out a drunk cat who was twice her size for trying to cop a feel on one of her friends that worked at the brothel

It was now a week and Zeal hadn't returned, Candy was worried, ace had grown worried as well but he was sleeping through most of it. When he was awake he would always do his best to get to know candy but candy never really went too in depth with her life, it was always stopped when she got to anything that had to deal with her mother, Candy would always try to talk to Zeal about his past but whenever it came to anything that had to do with his parents he was always silent and never wanted to talk about it since he would start tearing up and she would have to comfort him for several minutes before he stopped. They had something in common since they both never touched upon the topic of each others mothers, she had the odd feeling that he didn't know who his father was either just like her. it had been so long since Zeal had left and the day was crawling to an end, if he wasnt back by morning she would go around and search with ace for as long as they could before having to call it a day. Candy was restless since he had left, looking at several cans and bottles of unopened fizz in the fridge. She heard the humans call fizz soda but to sykions calling it fizz was a lot easier. She was laying down in her bed holding onto his coat again, it was starting to smell like her from her perfume, but it still felt like a part of him that she held close even though his scent had faded from it, she watched the sun set from her window and went to sleep hoping to wake up to his face

It was now the eighth day since Zeal had left and candy was worried sick, she went and got ace to go search for him in nearby areas even though it was risky for ace to be out in them open "Zeal!" she called out into the distance hoping to hear his voice respond but nothing came "come on gadget where are you....." she searched with ace for what seemed like countless hours and it was starting to get late "Candy its getting c-colder...." ace shivered wanting to go home "c-cant we search a bit more, i even had some friends from the brothel look for him but they havent found anything..." "im sure he'll turn up by tomorrow...." ace didnt sound too sure about that since Zeal was away for so long and there was no sign of him for several miles "o-okay...." candy slowly walked back to their house with him as the sun started setting, she hoped that he was okay wherever he was at and that he would come back soon.
She went inside the house with ace and immediately went into her room falling onto their bed wishing he was their, ace had went to his room respectively and fell asleep but candy stayed awake a bit longer than him thinking about Zeal just hoping that he would come back from wherever he was at and that he would be okay, "please be okay Zeal.... i couldnt live with myself if something happened to you...." she held onto a pillow and went to sleep shortly after, she dreamed of him holding her in his warm embrace "why so sad candy?" he asked "im just worried about you...." "why" "you've been gone longer than you said you'd be" she knew she was just talking to her mind since this was a dream "its alright, ill be back soon candy, dont worry itll all be fine" he kissed her cheek and candy buried her face into his chest wishing he was actually holding her in their bed but in reality she was sleeping alone in there bed wishing he was there with her.
the dream had melted away and she heard a familiar voice "wha...." she said waking up groggily "hey sweetie im home" she saw his face smiling back at her and immediately tackled him into a hug
