Chapter 10
"You did?" I say, flattered."Yes. . ." he says, looking as if he wanted the ground to swallow him up.
"Aww." I smile.
We sat in silence for a few minutes, then Mica nervously speaks.
"It's getting late. We should go now." he says.
"Yeah, we should probably go." I reply.
I want to stay here with him, but if we don't start heading back now, we'll be in deep trouble.
"I'll walk you home if you want." Mica offers.
"Thanks." I smile.
So we start to go home.
"Look at the stars!" Mica exclaims, pointing to the sky.
I look upwards. The sky is dotted with thousands of glittering stars. It's very pretty.
"Wow, it's a lovely night tonight." I say.
"Yeah." Mica says, and we carry on walking.
We talk and laugh about all kinds of things. Mica is a lot like me. He understands my thoughts and ideas.
When we are almost at my house, Mica kisses me goodbye. My heart beats faster and my head feels light again.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow." he smiles.
"Yeah, see you at school!" I reply.
Mica turns and walks up the road, and I run into my house and up the stairs to my bedroom.
I can't believe it! He loves me! I dance around my room and grin.
