The Corrupter 1
The Corrupter's grin had soon become maniacal laughter. The darkened princess stood nearby, smiling along. The shady drake turned to look at her.“Follow me,” he tempted, and the fiendish dragons took to the sky, “I have MUCH to show you!”
The monstrous dragons arrived to a castle after flying for a bit. Dark clouds blackened the sky, and the place reeked of despair. Alien screams pierced the sky, and ravens picked at rotting carcasses that dotted the barren landscape.
But none could compare to the castle. It radiated a sinister and demonic power, and its shadowy walls towered over their head. Torches flickered in the wind, casting ghastly shadows across the ramparts.
“See, my lady, a kingdom is rising. MY kingdom. A shadow kingdom. I will rule all the Ember Kingdom!” roared the Corrupter, “and you can rule too. Will you join me in the shadows? Will you be my Dark Queen of Hearts?”
The Dark Queen said nothing, but smiled malevolently. The Corrupter smiled back.
He lead her to the looming black iron gates where a dragon sat, a solid statue except for the black ooze that cloaked his body from his curled horns to his wicked barbed tail. He bowed deep as they passed, the gates magically groaning open. The Corrupter gave a sharp nod and then stalked past, his tail swaying behind, dragging ever so slightly on the maroon stained patches of grass. His Queen pranced just behind. They swept their way into the castle and up a mighty amount of broken stairs. The tower walls were stained with blood and a raven’s lone call echoed through the hollow way. Soon they reached the top and stepped out onto a crumbling balcony. The Dark Queen grinned and nuzzled her ruler as the Corrupter roared in exultance, “MY KINGDOM SHALL RISE! WE SHALL NOT BE STOPPED! LET THE CORRUPTION BEGIN!”
