Is FNAF 2 a prequel?
Most of you may not know about FNAF. Its short for Five Nights At Freddy's and its where your a night guard at Freddy Fazbears Pizza and your watching the security cameras to make sure no one is in the building. Although if you play the game and you notice small details you begin to wonder what the exact story on this place is. One thing that most fans point out is some of the easter eggs like Golden Freddy, Purple Man, Balloon Girl, the extra exco-skeleton, and what I call Shadow Bonnie. These will be brought up but now back to the main topic.What most fans point to is saying that FNAF 2 is a prequel. From what me and my two friends have been able to gather were almost certain it is. First thing I want to point out is the paycheck. On the paycheck of FNAF 2 it is marked 11-13-1987. 1987 is an important date in this game because the phone guy brings up "the bite of 87" on the first night of FNAF the first game. Of course I will bring up that in a future chapter because there's a lot of stuff with that also. Although on the check you receive in FNAF it is labbled 11-13-xx. This shows that the year you receive this check is unknown but we can assume that its on a Friday for two reasons. One is that most paychecks are normally given on Friday and if its Friday the 13th that is when unnatural things happen so it could be possible. But the years with November having Friday the 13th or at least the most common are 1992 and 1988 but there is also a 2009 one which would be possible but in our opinion very unlikely. The reason I think it is unlikely is because of the technology used in the original FNAF. It seems a little two old for something in the time of 2009 which was only 5 years ago so you can probably guess that is not 2009. What we think would be reasonable would be 1992 because in FNAF 2 they did say some of the animatronics would be scrapped due to malfunctions and that others would be saved for a re-opening.
As fun as this theory is there's a few things wrong with it. The phone guy does say the words "please regard what you heard about the old place." He also says that Foxy USED to be his favorite. Also the phone guy in the first game did die at the end of the message in night 4 or at least we assume he does but in FNAF 2 he is still alive and does not get killed. But one thing with this does not make sense. If you look around the internet you will discover Freddy Fazbears Pizza is a real place in Iowa. But from the checks it is proved to be November and Iowa does get snow. Then why on day one of FNAF 2 the phone guy says "Welcome to your new SUMMER job?" The only solution for this is if the game were in the southern hemisphere where summer starts in September that would make sense but none of the other things we pieced together would make sense like why the phone guy is clearly talking in an American accent. Although with all of this pieced together we can certainly tell that Five Nights At Freddy's 2 is definatly a prequel. These theories are really fun and we honestly think that FNAF 2 is a prequel let us know what you guys think in the comments.
