The Lie, The Leave
The moon hung up in the sky, heavy with morning's rain. The last thunders sounded as the dog got ready to leave, the last bolt of lighting struck the sky.Alpha counted the dogs, making sure everyone was there. "Anyone seen Waterfall?" Alpha asked. "Yeah, I saw her in the Fighters' den" a dog shouted, "she looked pretty grim". "Well go get her, I'm sure when we get there she'll cheer up" Alpha sighed. The dog ran off, bringing back hanging head Waterfall. "Right, um let's go" Alpha coughed as Waterfall awkwardly joined into the group of dogs.
Rushing Water was the last pack, getting looks from the impatient dogs who had been waiting. The leaders bowed to each other, and called off the dogs to do Bonding. Waterfall sorrowfully dragged her feet to her usual group, but stopping when she heard a story from a certain someone.
"I was waiting for the prey signal, and then this big Doberman crossed our border!" Coyote started, "and then it attacked me, keep in mind it twice my size, I attacked back luckily pinning it down! It was a vicious fight but I won, I saved my pack from it!". Waterfall felt her mouth curve into a snarl, her friend was lying about her! "Ah you're so strong sweet" Fire licked Coyote's ear, Waterfall gaped at them. And for the first time Midnight felt deeply hurt, her blood started boiling. The ice crept up her heart, it was a burning freeze feeling.
With heavy heart and burning tears, Waterfall ran. She ran, and ran, and ran. She pushed away dogs, as she ran out of meeting place. and as ran over the softening hills, she swore she'd never open up to another dog. Because if she did, she'd just get hurt again...
