The Testing Hunt

The Testing Hunt Rain poured down hard, the wind soared wildly. The grey skies fogged any sight of sun, giving the morning a gloomy appearance. The birds stayed sheltered in their trees, not chirping at all.
Coyote slunk out of her new den, flinching as cold rain hit her. The rain echoed in her ears, her paws felt cold as freezing water splashed onto them. Night Breeze followed in after her. "Don't we need a Fighter with us?" Night Breeze questioned. "Oh right" Coyote raced to the Fighters' den, waking a certain someone.
Midnight felt a muzzle jab her, it was clod and wet. Blinking up a water droplets fell on her, she saw Coyote smiling at her. "Come on!" Coyote whispered, "we need a Fighter with us our Deer Catching!". "Ok, ok" Waterfall grunted, "just stop getting water on me, it's freezing!". "Better get used to it" Coyote laughed. "What do yo-" Waterfall was cut off as cold rain drenched her. Coyote burst out laughing, as the two padded over to Night Breeze.
The forest was splashed with mud, leaves hung heavily with the weight of water on it. The small bushes and shrubs were dotted with ruined cobwebs, dew hanging on some survivors. The birds started a low morning song, stopping as another rain shower started. Coyote stretched as they entered the deer grounds, and sure enough there was one eating deer. "Ok now discuss our plan" Night Breeze whispered, "I'll stay here, you two go towards Running Wind border. Then when I hiss go". Coyote nodded, and lead Waterfall to the border.
"Maybe while you wait, you could hunt?" Waterfall suggested. "You're right!" Coyote stood up, "SQUIRREL!". Coyote ran after it, they neared the border. With great stupidity Waterfall yelled, "cross the border and get it!". Coyote smiled, and put her paws cross the border. "WAIT NO" Waterfall rushed forward, but it was too late, the patrol that she had smelled appeared.
"Two little dummies crossing the border eh?" the pit bull snorted, "well that just won't do". Coyote howled and ran, her instinct taking over her. Which left Waterfall all alone, the dead squirrel laying next to her. "Ooo! A coward too?" the pit bull cackled, "this is getting good!". "She's a coward but I'm not!" Waterfall stood her ground. "Really? Well by the looks of what happened..." the pit bull looked at the squirrel, "I'd say Rushing Water can't support themselves, and need a another Pack's help!". The group laughed, except for one floppy eared Doberman. "Target just let her go!" the floppy eared Doberman whined, "her friend stole the squirrel, not her!". "Shut up Pigeon!" Target spat. "No" Pigeon looked fearful as Targets glare burned through him. "Why you little..." Target leap on Pigeon. "Run" Pigeon's last breath was before Target tumbled with him.
As Waterfall passed a bush she whispered to it, "Coward, you bloody coward". Coyote winced as Waterfall's angry gaze seared through her, her insides still thawing away the ice.
