Twins of Royalty

Chapter 2

Dawn looked at herself through the vanity mirror. All her thoughts were about the outside world. How fun! It's like a dream come true, but unless her mother allows, she cannot go anywhere.

Her sister put down the scroll she was reading. "Hey Dawn, listen to this. Just because a Pony is ladylike it doesn't make her weak. In fact, by using her wits, a seemingly defenseless pony can be the one who outsmarts and outshines them all."

"And the Point is?"

Dusk Shrugged. "I don't know. Just thought it was cool. And I can see why Princess Twilight Sparkle is mom's follower."

"Why's that?"

"Almost every note she writes, she starts with "Dear Princess Celestia" and ends with "Your Faithful Student" ".

Dawn rolled her eyes. "Did you find any pictures on the notes?"

"Um, no. But you should read all these. They're very interesting."

"Pass."

"It tells you a little about the outside world?"

Dawn got up and walked over to her sister. "I rather see the outside world." She plopped down on her cushion.

Dusk smiled. "You sound like a broken record."

"Sure." Dawn flipped her ears out of sear boredom. "The outside world must be amazing."

The door opened, but didn't close. As Dawn raised her head in curiosity, Celestia, Luna and two guards walked in. The guards looked around the room, surprised by it being there, before staring at the Two Ponies they've never seen. Dawn and Dusk was just as surprised as the two newcomers.

"Dawn, Dusk, I'd like you to meet Emerald Armor and Daring Flight." The Two guards bowed at Celestia's words.

"Why are they here?" Dawn asked.

"You wanted to go outside, didn't you?"

Before she could ever finish her sentence, Dawn jumped up and hugged her. Dusk just scrambled up into an stand position, and watched the two guards.

"Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!"

Celestia smiled at her young daughter. "You are welcome."

Dawn released herself and looked at Luna, still smiling.

"Can we go now?"

"We need to do one thing first."

Celestia lowered her horn to Dawn's head and cast a spell. Dawn only felt a Twist on her brain, and nothing else. When Celestia pulled away, Dawn looked at herself, but found nothing different. "What did you do? Nothing happened."

"What do you mean nothing happened?" Dusk exclaimed. "You are a Pegasus now!"

Dawn walked over to her mirror, but still found nothing different of herself. She had her Wings, Horn and her restless eyes with her wavy hair.

"It's a spell that changes your appearance upon other Ponies." Explained Luna. "Only Alicorns can do it."

Celestia walked over to Dusk and changed her into an earth Pony. "It's a Preventative measure, just in case there are no good Ponies out there."

After a quick inspection, Dusk spoke up.  "Your Right. This is weird."

Dawn smirked at her sister. "If we're ready, Let's go!"
