Twins of Royalty

Chapter 3

Dawn trotted out of the courtyard, Daring Flight following just a few hooves behind. The whole world was new to her. They already spent the part of their freedom in the courtyard, looking at all the flowers. They even spent a small part flying in circles around a tower. Dusk was somewhere else, watching Ponies from the Shadows.

Dawn, on the other hoof, took off running. Every turn, shop and Pony was something new to look at.

"You're like a Filly in a Candy Store." Daring Flight said, glaring at the ponies who were staring.

"You can't blame me." Dawn said.

"Oh! Of course not, your Highness." Daring Flight said. "I mentioned about the Ponies staring at you."

Dawn had fun, and of Course, Daring Flight didn't. She bounced high in the air and had a Nice Lunch at the Restaurants. And, of course, she was eager to explore everything around.

"We should be heading back, your Highness. Looks like the Pegasi are going to bring a Thunderstorm." Daring Flight said.

"A Thunderstorm?"

"I thought the Princesses told you about it."

"They did! We even heard the thunder, but I haven't experienced a Storm."

Dawn scowled at herself, before hearing some giggles. Looking Up, she spotted a group of Ponies, but only one caught her attention. A Purple Alicorn, Indigo Streak, A Sparkle Cutie Mark, A Dragon by her side.. Dawn was stunned by how much they looked like each other.

It took Dawn a bit more to place the other Five names. "Um.. Rainbow Slash, I mean Crash, I mean Dash..." she memorized. She didn't notice that her sound was too loud. The Pegasus with Rainbow Mane was the only one who notice her. She waited for a few moments, but impatient feeling the alarm of "Slash, Crash and Dash", she flew towards her face and glared at Dawn.

"Ah!!" Dawn shouted with a sudden fright.

"What do you think your doing?" The Mare asked, still glaring.

"I-I'm sorry, but why are you glaring at me?"

"Glaring? I heard you chanting my name like "Crash, Slash..."! And you are saying that aloud, means you are insulting me! And.."

Before the Mare could stop, the Purple Alicorn put her hooves on her friend's mouth. "Calm down, Rainbow!" she said angrily. Rainbow stepped back, still glaring.

"I apologize for my friend. She is too capricious." The Alicorn said. "I don't think I've seen you around. Did you just move out from another place?"

"Yes.. from another.. place! My name is Dawn."

"I'm Princess- I mean Twilight Sparkle." she smiled. These are my friends Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash-'' Before the Mare could finish, the Pink Earth Pony bounced high in the air and said : "I'm Pinkie Pie!"

"I've heard about you, Pinkie Pie. You're my sister's favorite."

"Do you have a Sister?"

"Y-yes, I do. Her name is Dusk."

"How do you know us?"

"I have read a lot about six of you, because you are the Mane 6. My mother used to give me a lot of books about your little adventures. I'm a little Fan of yours." Dawn smiled shyly.

Rarity looked Dawn up and down, before taking over the conversation. "I just love the hair accessories, Darling. Where did you get them?"

"My mother gifted it to me." Dawn replied, surprised that she was knowing this only then. She had forgot to take away Aunt Luna's gift.

"Do you know where they got them?"

"No, I don't." Dawn smiled apologetically.

"Oh! That's too bad." Rarity sounded sad. It slightly confused Dawn.

"Your highness, you are taking too much time." Daring Flight whispered to Dawn.

Dawn hesitated, but she said "Bye! See you later!" as she flew away.

Twilight and her friends stared doubtfully as Dawn flew away, Daring Flight following seconds behind her.
