Chapter 7: Am I in Trouble!?

I woke up around 8:00 in the morning. The day I went shopping with Greyson was about a week ago. I loved all the things I was able to wear now that Greyson got them for me! I got dressed, and opened my window, seeing Greyson sitting out on the bridge (we decided to keep it there) with a smile on his face once he saw me. "Hey you!," He exclaimed standing up and helping me out onto the bridge. "Good morning!," I said, giving him a side hug. We sat down and began talking.
"I love what you're wearing, ma 'darling." Greyson told me in a fake girly tone. I laughed, " Thank you, sir." I said politely. "So, what'ya wanna do today, huh?" I asked excitedly. "I have an idea...."He said, his voice trailing off.

"We are going to do WHAT!?" I exclaimed, getting many strange looks from mall shoppers. "Keep your voice down, and you heard me!" He told me. "I sure hope I didn't hear you right." I replied. "C'mon, it's not that big a deal. All the girls have their ears pierced! It's about time you did, too!" He tried to reason with me. I crossed my arms and looked to the side. "Pleeease? It'll complete your make-over! Unless... you don't want to get Hayden's attention...--"
"Fine!," I cut him off, " I'll do it!" I ignored his cheers of triumph and head for Claire's.

"Is it gonna hurt?!" I asked eagerly, sitting in the chair at Claire's while a lady drew dots on my earlobes. "It should feel like a bee sting." Greyson answered simply. I bounced my knee up and down, showing how nervous I was. I widened my eyes at his answer. "I've never been stung by a bee!" I whined. I let out a whimper of fear and bounced my knee. "Stop moving! You do want the holes to be even don't you!?" The lady asked me.
"Well excuse me for being a little scared." I snapped at her. "A little scared?" Greyson asked. "Your whole freaking leg is about to fall off!" He exaggerated. "Calm down you'll be fine."
"I have, uh, Trypanophobia." I confessed. "Wha-" He tried to say. "A fear of needles!" I exclaimed. Everyone in the store, even little girls, stopped and stared for a few seconds before getting back to shopping. "Please do this. For yourself. It'll cure your fear!" He said. I didn't budge. "Do it for me." He tried. I raised an eyebrow. "For Hayden." Now those words stuck.
I sighed, " Fine."
Grey practically jumped with joy.
"Make it quick." I told the lady, who was currently next to a rack of earrings. She nodded. "Which one?" She asked.
"Uhhh... I don-"
"These." Greyson said handing a pair to her.
"Lemme see it!" I reached out for the card.
"Nope! You'll see when we're done." He held the card close to him, then gave them to the lady.
"Okay, I'm trusting you!"

She took the needle gun away from my ear and handed me a mirror. "I love them! Thank you Greyson. Sorry I didn't cooperate at first." I told Grey. "Nah, don't mention it." He said. "I'm just glad you like the earrings." I flashed him a smile and we left.

I walked into my house where I saw my mom. "Hey-o mama!" I said. Greyson trailed behind me. "Hi Mrs. Starr!" He called.
"Hey kiddo! Wait, what the... What!?" She yelled. She rushed over to me and saw my earrings. She hasn't been home much all week and hadn't noticed my cut hair. It wasn't like I dyed it or cut a ton of it off. Greyson just layered it and gave me bangs. "Why are your ears pierced!? And your hair! It's all cut! What happened?" She shouted. "Uhhh, I just- I, uhhh...." I stammered. She waited for an explanation. I drew in a deep breath.
"It was my idea, Mrs. Starr. I told her that she should start dressing nicer, and so I took her shopping and cut her hair and got her ears pierced." Greyson told her.
"Am I in trouble, mom?" I asked. She glared at me.
