Strategy talk
"Fine." I said. Jake stepped inside. He plopped down on my chair as if he was welcome to. "What plan do you have in mind?" "PLEASE don't say fall in love like Katniss and Peeta or i'm gonna barf!" I added quickly. "We need something the crowd will like." Jake said.
I mentally prepared myself for the worst. "We..." He started. "I have no clue." He said. I laughed. "Me neither!"
"Sarah?" He said. I still wasn't used to everyone calling me my sister's name. "Yea?" I replied.
"I kinda... I really..." Whatever he was going to say was cut off by Kalee flinging the door open. "Your mentor would like to speak with you!
She cheerfully exclaimed. Jake looked troubled. He slowly followed Kalee and I.
"Guys, you need a strategy!" Dawn said. I rolled my eyes. "We don't know what to do!" Jake said.
"Just try to survive." Dawn said. "You guys should try to ally with the Area 1 people. They'll accept you because you're Area 2."
Back in my room, I looked out the window at the street view. There was a knock on the door. "Hey..." It was Jake.
I opened the door. "Sarah, I really like you..." He said. I sat down, shocked. I didn't know how to react.
"Um... There's this guy named Connor, my best friend—" I remembered I was supposed to be acting like Sarah, but it was to late.
"Wait... Isn't that your sister's best friend?" He asked. I covered my mouth. "Wait a second..." He said. "You know... I'm really tired!"
I said shoving him out the door. I closed the door and gaped. I had basically spilled the secret.
