"Normal"

"Normal"         I woke up and my mother was at my bedside. She patted my head and and started saying tings like 'You're going to be OK.' and 'Don't worry Mamma's here. The doctor came in and explained it fully, but I was still woozy, so all I remembered was that what I have has built up throughout the years and that it is a non fatal disease that 1 in one million people get. He left a pamphlet that explained it: So you have Neuromonodisophectomonia. It apparently is a disease that was discovered out less than 100 years ago that effects a section in the brain which means I have to take twice as much water as a 'normal' person. It's kind of strange how you could go you're whole life thinking one thing, and having it change in 24 hours. My mother, being the optimist that she is, said I should just be grateful that it isn't fatal.

After I had breakfast (and about a liter of water) a nurse came in. 'We're just keeping you in for all of today,' She started to say 'We expect you'll be fine and fit to leave tomorrow,' She was average height and had curly brown hair. 'Um, thank you, but, what am I doing here?' She looked sort of shocked. 'Why, to get your medicine of course!' To be honest, I thought from now on I just needed to take a bit extra water. She explained that the medicine was to help my brain cope  for the loss of water. I'd need to take this medicine for the next thirty years! She said they needed some time to get the right medicine and pills.

Around lunch time Allison and Xavier arrived and told me all about Bill's amazing new apartment, I can't wait to see it Diary! They left after an hour, but it was nice of them to visit. My mother left for work and my father came in around dinner time. Then the nurse said I had another visitor, Steph. 'Oh Elizabeth, I heard what happened! Are you OK?' I smiled. It was nice of her to visit. ''I'm fine, just a little thirsty, can you pass my water bottle?' She went across the room. 'Is this a Lockroad water bottle? I love that band!' And that led us to talking for hours on end. After a while my mom came back and my dad left. The nurse ended up leaving Steph stay over. We talked all night! I didn't realize how much we have in common. She fell asleep a few minutes ago and I'm quite tired myself. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Nice story!
And proper grammar, for once! (some stories... '-_-)

Yeah but sometimes I make mistakes on purpose, to phrase it as an average teenage girl would.
