Chapter 4 - The Announcement
The next day, Skittle was sat at her group's table as usual. Casper was throwing pencils at her from across the table."Don't do that, Casper. You could seriously hurt someone." Skittle warned him.
"Good." Casper said with an evil grin.
Skittle couldn't believe he had said that. That was just pure evil. But she chose to ignore the pencils bouncing off her black and blonde striped wavy hair. She turned to chat to Tara.
"Tara?" Skittle said, tapping her best friend's arm.
But Tara didn't answer. She was staring at nowhere in particular with a faraway look in her eyes.
"Tara!" Skittle repeated, poking her.
But she still didn't respond. Skittle felt a bit worried. Why wasn't she answering her? Then the teacher stepped up to the front of the class.
"Class, I'm afraid we have some bad news."
Skittle gasped. What could it be? Maybe the school had been burgled last night. Or one of the kids got kidnapped? Or the school was closing down?
"Tara, can you come up to the front, please?" the teacher said.
Skittle's eyes widened. If the teacher was calling Tara up to the front, the bad news must be about her. And the bad news must be why Tara wasn't answering her before.
"Your classmate Tara will be leaving very soon. Her parents have gotten new jobs to run a book shop up in the countryside, so she has to move." the teacher told everyone.

But I don't think you've seen the wall post about what happened on the trip. It was absolutely horrible. The teacher brought 20 other people on the trip who hadn't done anything at all. On the way there in the coach, I was forced to sit in a spare seat in a cramped area next to the door, and everyone else got proper seats, even though I was the See More only reason they were on the trip. I kept having panic attacks on the coach because I got really claustrophobic. And when we got there, the whole thing was just listening to authors talk about their books for three hours. It was so boring, and at the end of it, the teacher didn't even let us meet any authors. When someone asked the teacher if we were going to meet them, the teacher told them not to be stupid, even though it specifically said on the letter we were given that we got to meet all of the authors. And we got back to school just after lunch, when the teacher had said that the trip lasted all day.
I was so angry. . . :/
