Take Back the Claws

"Mabel, wait up!" Dipper meowed at Mabel, bounding up the hillside to meet her.
"Heh, look, we can see all of Gravity Claws from up here!" Mabel stated, panting.
"Yeah, wait, where's Soos? He said he'd be waiting up here for us." Dipper and Mabel gazed around warily, trying to find the grey tom.
"Hmm, I guess he forgot to come" Mabel mewed.
While Dipper looked under a bunch of brambles, the ground began to shake. Suddenly, as soon as it started, the shaking stopped. A giant claw mark cut open the sky, showing the death and destruction that was to come. Dipper meowed, and lept into the bramble bush he was inspecting. Mabel shortly joined him, startling a group of starlings in a nearby oak tree.
"What's going on?" Mabel mewed, short of breath.
"What is that?" Dipper cried, gazing at the blood red sky.
Just then, a lithe creature bounded behind them. "Kids, get to the Shack!" the tabby tom hissed. "Before Ciphfur gets you."
"Ciphfur? I thought we heard the last of him a long time ago, Ford!" Dipper's neck fur began to bristle. "I will help."
"Very well." Ford meowed calmly.
"Can I help too?" Mabel's eyes glittered with excitement.
"Mabel, listen, I was told by Wendy that your help will be needed at the shack, where she exclaimed that everyone would need to be cheered up, which is where you come in." Ford meowed. Mabel looked at Dipper, who nodded.
Mabel sighed. "Ok, then..."
"Good, Dipper, come on." Ford bounded down the hillside, Dipper following shortly after one quick look back.
"Will I ever see you again...?" Mabel whispered softly, reaching a paw out to where he had once been.
