The Earth kingdom
I mean, a entire world in chaos? Killings? Wars?
It needed to be fixed.
And the excited look in Rains eyes kind of made it worth it. He was obviously hoping for this for awhile.
"Then off we go."
I took his hand and closed my eyes. I had teleported before, but never with anyone else. I automatically felt a barrier to what I call "The abyss." And personally, I find that a fitting name considering the circumstances.
I pushed against the barrier, until it caved in a little. Darkness wrapped around us and we appeared in the darkness, floating around aimlessly. There was no sound, no feel, and no smells. It was just... Cold.
Almost immediately I felt my chest hurt. I quickly teleported out of there, arriving in Rains lands. I let go of his hand and coughed, spitting out some black blood. As I watched it sizzled slightly, then went still. I wiped my mouth of some stray blood and stood up straight again.
"Well... we're here."
I gave myself a look around. There was a small village surrounded by thick green forests. I could hear the trickle of a creek nearby, and butterflies floated around. In the distance was a humongous castle, faded a bit from view.
Rain smiled at me.
"Welcome to the Earth Kingdom. Despite the fact that this place is falling apart, you might like it here."
I nodded.
"It looks nice, and peaceful."
"It is for the most part. Here, the meeting for the leaders is coming, and its a long way to the castle. So lets go!"
He grabbed my hand and started walking quickly. I felt myself blush a bit. He truly wasn't scared of me, and for that I was glad.
I smiled and followed him.
After two hours he finally stopped, out of nowhere, in the middle of the forest.
"Hold on, I have to make a portal."
"Alright." I said, and moved a few feet from him. I sat down, and closed my eyes. Shadows swirled around me, and I started balancing myself again. I didn't want to get more hurt the next time we teleported. Once I was done I stood up and stretched, feeling better. I opened my eyes and watched Rain make the portal.
He knelt down and placed his palms face down on the ground. Branches and vines came up, growing into the shape of a large oval, and within the oval was a bright white colour.
"Wow.. That's amazing."
Rain smiled at me.
"Thank you! It's just simple magic though."
"Well then, shall we?"
He nodded, "We shall."
He stepped through the portal. It glowed for about two seconds then faded back to normal. I went up to it and hesitated, then did the same.
The portal brought us inside the castle, within a huge and empty room. Rain spoke
"This room looks like it hasn't been used in YEARS. Anyways, we'd better find the place where they hold the meetings."
"Right.."
I looked around. I was far from home, and I could feel it. The magic in the air was... different.
I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but I didn't want to find out.
