Chapter 5
Suddenly, Marigold, or what the other human had called her, grabbed Midnight and put her into a box. Tiger told her, “This is it! I wish it could`ve been me, the thing I had been waiting seven long years for! But you need this more than I do!”I felt a surge of pride and sadness when he said that. Seven long years! It only took a day for me to get adopted!
Suddenly, Midnight started meowing and staring at Tiger. She hopped out of the box and started clawing the bottom cage chains. She wasn`t going to leave without Tiger!
“Don’t ruin this chance, Midnight! I mine as well just die here! I never going to get adopted!” Tiger hissed at Midnight.
“My life isn`t the same without you Tiger! I need some kind of friend other than a human!” Midnight mewed with a gentle voice.
Marigold watched as Midnight was clawing the cage. Then, she opened Tiger`s cage! It worked!
Midnight started purring with happiness. Tiger rubbed her head against Midnight`s. They could be together forever! Then, both Tiger and Midnight, jumped into the box just as Marigold closed the lid.
