Soon enough, Midnight and Lion had kits.
“How about we name this one Twilight?” Lion said as he pointed to a dark grey tabby she-cat.
“Sounds good to me! I want to name this one Leaf. Kind of in honor of my lost friend.” Midnight said as she pointed to a black tom with a golden belly.
“And finally, we`ll name this one Puma!” She said, pointing to a golden tabby she-cat.
“These kits are adorable! I wish Fern could see these kits.” Midnight said, gloomly.
“Midnight, I know you`re still upset about this, but I bet she`s still watching over you, and all of your kits. She still is your friend, even when you two are separated. She knows that it wasn`t your fault that she was killed.” Lion said.
“I know... but I just...I just.... really miss her.” Midnight replied.
“Midnight, you have to get over this. She’s in a better place now. A place where evil cats don’t exist. But I bet she misses you, too. She’ll wait for you, Midnight-“
“She’ll wait for you”
