Zidern

Acceptance

Murakami had given Zidern enough pizza gyoza for him to fill up and even a little more yo take with him when he left, but murakami was genuinely sad for poor little zidern as the clock struck 12AM and it was now Ziderns birthday and the poor kid was all alone since his parents had rejected him "Take care Zidern and come back whenever you want, I will always be here to help you" Zidern smiled and purred from his full stomach "Alright Mr. Murakami I will" He finished packing a bag full of pizza gyoza in his pocket and dashed outside opened the nearest manhole and jumped in closing it with his tail behind him.
~a month later~
Zidern had gotten lost at a fourway in the sewer systems after a month of navigating he still couldn't map it all out but saw a figure appear out of the darkness. He quickly jumped up and latched onto a pipe and watched as a white wolf mutant walked through "hmmm...." Said in a partially raspy voice "which way go go...." She put a hand to her muzzle. He gently dropped down from the pipe and made a light splash as the wolf zipped around "Who's there" she spoke quickly. Zidern was hesitant to answer but slowly opened his mouth "m-me" he stuttered "please dont hurt me...." He whimpered as his ears flattened and he backed away into one of the tunnels. The wolf spoke "Now why would I hurt you?" "A lot of people and things have tried hurting me..... Its hard to trust anybody...." His stomach growled.
"I know how that feels..." She frowned as his stomach growled louder, her ears perked up hearing how loud it was "How long has it been since you've eaten?" she asked with concern in her voice "Almost a week.... I got lost 6 days ago...." "What's you're name?" She aseked "what's yours?" He asked back "My name is Neonnah well Neon for short" she spoke "Mines Zidern.... Just zidern because I don't have a nickname...." "Aw come on Zid come with me and I have some food back at my place" Ziderns ears shot up hearing the word "fooood....." Neonnah then guided him through the sewers
After a short while they were out of the sewers and exposed to the breeze of the cool night. She led him to a train yard and opened an old train car showing her belongings inside and some food "help yourself" Zidern lunged and quickly ate handfuls "Woah... You weren't kidding about a week of no food.... But be sure to chew!" Zidern finished and burped "excuse me and thank you so much! You're the nicest mutant I've bumped into" he gave her a brief hug "us mutants gotta stick together" she said and closed the door "its getting late let's get some shut eye" she flopped down in her bedspace and was asleep in seconds as Zidern looked at her [I have.... A f-friend.... A wolf friend...] He weakly smiled and plopped onto the floor getting comfy and was sound asleep in minutes but to his body's will he involuntarily moved over to her and curled up at her feet for warmth being happy for once in a long while
