Time Cannot Erase

Ok, this is the FULL story of Cana. I can't really put anymore here, because they would spoil it. Enjoy ((WARNING: Violence and Gore)) PLEASE COMMENT.

Heroic

The next day, Sonata awoke to a low, rumbling sound. "Crap, badgers". Sonata sighed and grabbed his iron sword, which was a leaning against a tree. He removed the weapon from the leather sheath and handled the hilt gently. Sonata saw crowds of black and white, and paired with the green, glowing eyes, and sharp daggers embedded in their gums, was not the best sight. The warrior let out a loud battle cry, and began slashing wildly at the badgers. The battle was exhilarating, but no where near as grueling and exhausting as the battles that he fought within his mind.

Nearly 4 hours later, the weary and battlescarred rooster returned to the city, to be greeted by many excited civilians, all cheering him for saving their kingdom. Suddenly, he heard the yells of a female. Cana rushed over and wrapped her wings around Sonata, pulling him into a tight embrace. His wounds stung with every slight movement or touch, but right now, he was too grateful to care. A tear rolled down his cheek. He wasn't sure if it was from the constant burning of the cuts or the victory over the badgers.

"You can never escape....." Oh no...not now. Cana could somehow see the glimmer of fear in Sonata's eye. She began to inquire about it, but she felt Sonata begin shaking. What was happening to him? Sonata felt his legs give out underneath him. His eyes closed as the hero passed out.

Later that evening, Sonata awoke to see two hazel orbs staring at him. "Rust?" Sonata looked down to see that his wings had been wrapped in gauze and he was sitting in a bed. Cana Sat on the bed beside him. "Wow, you.must've been exhausted!", She said vaguely. "Yeah.....exhausted..." the wounded warrior replied.  

After many weeks of Cana tending to him and listening to Rust and Snow read stories, Sonata was back in the forest. Shadows still visited him at night. He hoped that they would never escape his mind, or even worse, gain a physical form....but he could only hope...
