Head Crazies
For many years, Sonata and Cana continued to grow and change. It wasn't until they had become 18 Moons Old, that they'd heard about the passing of Queen Mysticaria. She lie in her death bed, eyes closed and completely still. The queen looked so peaceful. After many years, her worn body could finally rest. Cana now had full authority over the land of Valeria, and Sonata had become a strong, noble warrior. He was probably one of the best fighters in the kingdom. But that didn't stop the shadows from entering his mind. For many weeks, poor Sonata had to deal with the whispers in his mind. The amber-eyed shadow had been right. "He.could not escape."Cana had her share of problems as well. Ruling over a realm of chickens was not easy. Many hours of decision making, meetings with other nobles. She barely got to hang out with Sonata anymore. Even when Cana did have free time, she was usually watching over Snow and Rust. Snow and Rust were young chicks, the children of one of Valeria's merchants. Usually, the children would listen to legends told by the princess. Occasionally, Sonata would stop by. Rust looked up to Sonata, and claimed that one day, he'd be a hero, too.
One night, Sonata was dealing with his nightly visions, or as he sometimes called them, "Head crazies." But something different happened. The shadows started replying to what he said. "W-Who are you?" Sonata asked the red eyed shadow. It replied in a formal tone. "I am the shadows of your past bad actions." What bad actions? Sonata had always been so innocent! Sonata inquired about it, and the cloud of black mist replied "The deeds you have committed when you were Canatra." And then it had started to come back.
Sprays of vivacious red as he stabbed them. The screams of pain as the dagger was plunged into their throats. No....It couldn't be....Sonata had thought he was a good rooster. "You may have thought that you'd freed yourself from your actions, but I am still here....I will get you someday, hero....Someday...." For a.second, Sonata thought that it was strange to here someone calling him "hero". But that thought was lost as the warrior fell to the ground and blacked out.
