Victory Tour Part Two
The door creaked open slowly as a figure crept towards my bed.Who was it?
I opened my eyes,
"Wake up!!!!" I heard Skylar yell.
"Not funny, especially not at 6 in the morning." I grumbled.
"Come on already, it's time to start prepping for Area 2." Skylar said, and rushed out of the room.
I closed my eyes again and attempted sleep. Suddenly, Skylar re-entered the room.
"If you won't get up, AT LEAST see your outfit..." she said.
I bolted out of bed "SHOW ME!" I yelled.
"Whoa girl, easy." Skylar kidded.
She picked up a black dress bag near the door frame.
"Feast your eyes upon a fashion masterpiece!" Skylar exclaimed as I pulled out my outfit.
There was a cute purple lace skirt that went down to just above my knees, a light gray sparkly sweater with 3/4 sleeves, and Greek style silver sandals.
There were simple (fake) amethyst studs as earrings, and some multi-colored bracelets.
"Oh, it's so BEAUTIFUL!!!" I exclaimed.
"Your sooo lucky you get to wear that." Skylar said wistfully.
About thirty minutes later I had put the outfit on, had my hair curled, and make-up done.
I arrived at breakfast and piled my plate with pancakes and dumped syrup onto them.
"Mmmmmm." I smiled as I took my first bite "This is amazing!"
"Definitely." Tristan agreed as he munched on a piece of french toast.
"Okay," Gemma started "You are going to arrive in Area 2 in exactly forty-eight minutes."
"What will we do while we wait?" I asked Gemma.
"Whatever you want, just don't get into trouble." She replied.
"But first, Dawn I have something for you to do. Tristan you can leave."
"Okay." He said, but it sounded more like "Shrokay." Because his mouth was full of toast.
"As he jogged away, I asked Gemma "What do you need me for?"
"There is a new girl, she is fifteen, just like you, and she will be moving into the Capitol's Victor's Village." Gemma began.
"Why is she moving into Victor's Village? Tristan and I are the only victors." I questioned.
"Well, her father won the Hunger Games a years ago, and they were offered to live in this Victor's Village so they decided they would move here." Gemma explained.
"Well why am I required?" I asked.
"I figured you should video chat with her, make her feel more welcome." Gemma said.
"Sure." I replied. It would be nice to have someone else to talk with besides Tristan once Victory Tour was over.
About five minutes later I was in my compartment waiting for the new girl to pick up. I was going to talk with her through a hologram.
She finally picked up and I quickly introduced myself "Hey, I'm Dawn." I said. "And you are?"
"I'm Crystal Brite." she answered.
Crystal had dark brown hair with A TON of blue highlights in all different shades.
She seemed nice enough.
"So..." I said awkwardly.
Crystal smiled.
"That Awkward Moment When..." Crystal said.
I laughed.
"So how's Victor's Village?" I questioned.
"Oh it's great! I have a house across the street from yours." Crystal replied.
"Awesome! When I get back I'll have to come see what you did with the place. Did you see the garden Tristan and I planted?" I asked.
"Oh yeah! Could you and Tristan help me plant my own? The outside of my house is so plain, I can't stand it." Crystal replied.
I smiled. "Absolutely!"
Crystal and I talked for about 10 more minutes.
Aria came into the room.
"Who are you chatting with?" she asked. Skylar walked in a few moments later.
"This is Crystal Brite. Her dad was a Victor so she's moving into the same Victor's Village I live in!" I explained.
Crystal waved hi.
"Hey!" Skylar said.
"Hi!" Aria said.
We all chatted for a few more minutes before we were in Area 2.
"I have to go, bye!" I said.
"Bye!" Crystal replied and hung up.
The train screeched to a halt.
I met up with Tristan at the exit.
We walked off the train with Skylar and Aria close behind.
Gemma stood near us as we walked.
We reached the stage, and Gemma took a seat near the front.
Tristan and I looked at each other and then headed up the stairs onto the stage.
The crowd cheered as we walked on stage.
We hadn't killed any tributes from this area, I thought with relief.
Tristan and I gave the speech we had rehearsed.
I was so relieved when we were done!
Tristan and I ate dinner and rushed back to the train.
"Good job!" Aria said.
"You were awesome.!" Skylar added.
We talked a little while longer and then headed off to bed.
So far Victory Tour was going well!
