The Interview

Tristan and I rode around in the chariots waving to the crowd.
The people threw us roses, they loved us! I wore a long flowing white dress, and Tristan wore an all white suit.

Our chariot was white and so were our horses. We stood out, we were noticeable, and that was what the crowd loved!
Once we were done Gemma whisked us away to prepare for our interviews, what would our prep team do?

My prep team gave me makeup and royal purple eye shadow that matched my hair.

They put a beautiful amethyst necklace around my neck, and continued tending to my makeup.

I sat patiently through the whole thing.
"WHEN WILL THEY FINISH?!?!?" I thought. I was bored out of my mind, and dying to see Tristan.

Wait what? Why did I want to see Tristan? Why did I think that?
I decided to ignore that thought, but I kept thinking, 'Do I love Tristan?"

I kept my eyes closed the entire time the prep team worked.
I wanted to be surprised with the result.

I felt them slip a soft silky dress over me.
I wondered what it looked like.

"You can open your eyes now Dawn!" a member of the prep team called.
I slowly opened them and looked in the mirror, just to see a stranger stare back at me.

The stranger vaguely resembled me, but she was MUCH more beautiful. I moved, the girl moved to.
How was that me?

I wore a long, radiant, purple dress that matched my eye shadow and hair.
My hair was done nicely, and I wore purple high-heeled shoes.

"I look amazing!" I gushed.
"Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!" I said to the prep team.

They smiled in response.

Gemma came in and gasped. "Dawn! Oh this will get her sponsors for sure! If you were pretty before, you're like a goddess now!"
I blushed, unused to so much praise.

"Thanks Gemma." I said.

Gemma escorted me to the waiting line for the interviews where Tristan waited.
Tristan gaped at me when I stood next to him.

"Dawn! You look gorgeous!" I blushed.
"You look amazing too Tristan." And he did, why did I notice this? Why was I noticing Tristan?

We waited until I was called up.
"Good luck." Tristan whispered in my ear.

I walked on stage to thunderous applause.

"Welcome Dawn Moonstone! I'm your interviewer, Lush Honeyman" Lush smiled.

"Let me just say Dawn, you look marvelous tonight!" I smiled at him, ready to turn on the charm.
"Why thank you Lush! My prep team is probably the best here." I replied and turned toward the camera.

"So Dawn, do you have any talents?"
"Well I am a pretty good singer." I mentioned.

"Would you care to sing for us Dawn?"
"Of course!" I replied.

I sang the chorus of a song called Riptide:

Lady, running down to the riptide,
taken away to the dark side,
I wanna be your left-hand man.
I love you when your singing that song and,
I got a lump in my throat 'cuz
your gonna sing the words wrong.

The audience gave me a standing ovation.
Yes, I was DEFINITELY getting sponsors!

"Dawn you really are talented!" Lush praised.
"Why thank you." I told him

"Well it really is a shame your interview is done, good luck in the games Dawn!" Lush said.
I walked off stage happy with job I had done.

"Good luck." I whispered to Tristan as I passed by.

Tristan walked up on stage confidently.
Tristan's interview went well.

Gemma told him to drop a few hints that we were in love, which TOTALLY worked.

Yes, we have a definite chance of surviving the games.
