Mobius High - Hayley's Story

Take On Ibalize

I sneak out of my house and start running towards Mobius High. Tonight's the night we defeat Ibalize.
Sonic waits for me at the front of the school. "Shadow's round back. Come on," he says. He takes my hand again as we run towards the back.
Shadow is waiting for us at the door to the back. And so are Miss Rose, and the Geology teacher, Rouge.
"I figured we needed some back-up in case," Shadow says.
"We'll need all the help we can get," I reply, nodding. "Ibalize is much stronger than Sheena. It'll take a lot of us to take him down."
"Five of us are here, it should be enough right?" Rouge asks.
"Elise will be meeting us as well," I say.
And as I say that, I see a figure approaching us, accompanied by several troops.
"Elise. Good to see you made it."
"It's good to see you too, Princess Hayley," Elise says. The troops behind her drop to one knee and bow.
"Now that we're all here, we simply need to wait for Ibalize," I tell them.
Miss Rouge opens the back door, then quickly slams it shut. "Is that him out there?"
I run up to the door. "That's Ibalize alright." I then hurl a Lightning Bolt to the floor to surprise him.
"What was that?" Ibalize bellows.
"Look behind you, dumbo!" I shout. And he does.
"Well, well, well. A Princess, 3 hedgehogs, a bat, and the Imperial Army," Ibalize says. "Bit too much don't you think?"
"So?" Miss Rose replies. "We'll still take you down!"
And at that I slam my staff to the ground. The troops scatter out and prepare to attack. Miss Rose lunges forward towards Ibalize with her hammer. Rouge and Shadow fight against the Voiders Ibalize brought with him.
That leaves Sonic, Elise and me against Ibalize.
With my staff, I summon a tsunami wave, that only I can control. It splashes over Ibalize, but he doesn't melt like Sheena. He doesn't melt at all.
"Haha!" Ibalize cackles. "I'm stronger now, thanks to you Hayley!"
"What are you talking about?" I shout.
"Remember that girl in the hallway yesterday? That you healed?"
Oh my God.
That girl...
You don't think...
"NO!"
"Yes," Ibalize says. "It was me."
I can't describe the anger that's burning inside of me. And because of that anger, I stamp my foot on the ground. It releases the sphere of fire I summoned during the fight with Sheena. But I launch the sphere at him in its fiery state. And for some reason, the fire weakens him!
He falls to the ground, dead. And the other Voiders run away in fear.
"Impressive," Rouge says.
"2 down," I say. "But it's still far from over."
"So wait," Miss Rose says. "You're a Princess?"
"I'll explain tomorrow," I say.
Which I will.
