I stand in darkness. I can't see anything. Where am I? What's happening? Where are the others?
"Jackie?"
I hear someone calling my name. A light shines, and I walk towards it. And I see...
I see my father.
"Dad?"
"Oh my darling daughter!" He walks towards me, but he doesn't embrace me. "Look at you! You're..."
"I'm a Mobian, Dad," I tell him.
"And such a brave one, too."
I smile. He must have seen the mission from wherever he was.
"And I want you to be happy, Jackie. Go back to them. Back to Sonic."
"Really Dad?" I ask, my eyes swelling with tears.
"Yes. I know you love Sonic. Now go. Be with him."
"I'll miss you," I say.
"You'll always be my daughter, Jackie," he says, "Mobian or not."
"And you'll always be my father."
And I walk away from the light.
From my father.
And I stand in darkness again.

I can't see anything, but I can hear people whispering. I feel around, and manage to twitch my fingers. They are wrapped in bandages.
"Look!"
"Did you see that?"
What are they talking about?
Another hand then grabs for mine. The room is so silent, that I can feel the heartbeat of whoever it is holding me.
"Jackie? Jackie it's me," a voice says. "You're gonna be okay."
Sonic's voice.
He's here. By my side.
I wrap my hand around his.
"Sonic..." I say.
I open my eyes, and Sonic is the first person I see.
He looks back towards me, and his eyes widen. He squeezes my hand and leans closer to me. I place my other hand on his cheek, and fit my mouth to his. We're both holding each other tight, afraid to let go, in case we lose each other again.
Sonic pulls back. I see his eyes swelling with tears.
And mine are too.
The others turn around, and see me awake. They all crowd round me. "JACKIE!"
"Hi guys," I say. "What happened?"
"Eggman," Alexis says.
Oh my God that's right.
The wires! On that lever!
He tried to KILL me!
Sonic helps me to stand up, and I smile, winking at him. He winks back, and walks with me to the living room.

I'm sitting on the sofa in the living room to get some rest.
"Jackie?"
Sapphire and Alexis then enter, and sit next to me, at either side.
"We were thinking," Alexis says "of pulling a prank on the boys. You wanna join in?"
"What prank is it?" I ask.
"We're gonna turn their fur PINK!" Sapphire replies. "But we need you to grab the potion from Tails' lab while Alexis and I bake the cake."
Now THAT sounds like a cool prank!
"I'm in."
