This Is Goodbye

Nothing prepared me for the person I saw held back by Sebastian. His red hair was combed back perfectly along with his black tux straighten carefully, but his eyes were not the same. They were red and filled with hatred. Shin. The beast shot my sister, and I want revenge. In the corner of my eye, I saw Hale walking beside me. His blonde hair was messed up by his fingers being in it. On his tux was the bright red blood of his wife along with the shooting hate coming from his green eyes.

"Now hold on you two. Let him explain. It might not have been him." (Sebastian)
"Oh I shot her. I had the perfect aim." (Shin)
"I promise you I will kill you by my own hands." (Hale)
"I want in too." (Me)
"Just like you killed my brother, Sabina? All to protect that stupid brat!" (Shin)
"What are you talking about?" (Hale)
"This monster killed my brother, so she wouldn't tell her sister who killed her mother...." (Shin pausing) "When I heard, I vowed to get close to you and hurt you but that wasn't enough. The next thing I heard about was Luna's wedding that was my chance."

After he spoke, I felt my heart covered in hatred and guilt. My sister was fighting for her life because of my mistake. Hale glared at me with his green eyes, but I felt sympathy coming from them. Glaring at Sebastian, I saw his loving eyes pulling me from hatred; however, it did not help.

"So, your brother? I guess you didn't hear, but I was only following my father's orders." (Me)
"I got rid of him." (Shin)
"No, Cordelia did." (Sebastian)
"Ha how do you think Cordelia came back?  I resurrected her to kill him." (Shin)
"You...you..I'm going to kill you!!!" (Me)

Running towards Shin, I felt Hale wrap his hand around my arm. Looking at him, I felt the pain in his eyes. Why didn't he want the same thing I wanted? This guy killed my father and maybe my sister. Pulling away, I wrapped my little fingers around his neck and squeezed them. Sebastian let go of Shin and ran to my side trying to pull me off. I felt the hate radiating off me, but the look of Shin's face increased my ability to squeeze the breathe from him. His red eyes were covered in pleasure as his evil smile covered his entire face.

"G..o ahead. S-show the-em what yy-oou reall-y are." (Shin)
"No. I killed because I thought I was doing something right. I never wanted to kill. You, on the other hand, killed a father who tried connecting to his children and attacked a sister on her wedding day. You are the bigger monster than I am. Say hi to my mother for me." (Me)

With those words, I felt his last breathe go through my fingers. Next his body became lifeless. Motionless.

"Sebastian, where did they take Luna?" (Me)
"Follow me. Come on." (Sebastian)
"Are we just going to leave him?" (Hale)
"He's dead. The wolves can eat this trash." (Me)

Then, we started on our way to see Luna. The only words in my mind was please be alive.



We arrived at a small cottage house in the middle of the woods. Wonderful this is where they took Luna. I felt the depressed agony radiating from the small cottage. This place brought chills up my arms, but I smelt Luna inside. Her rich sweet blood. Running inside, I slammed opened the door. With tears running down her face, Krista was holding Reyes hard. Crying in her arms, Aurora was sitting on the ground while Lucas held her tight. I couldn't tell if Kat was crying on Niles, but I heard her voice break each time her body rose. Siliva's tears ran down her pale face while Jasper held her. So much crying. It couldn't be.

"She's in that room.." (Reyes)
"Where's the doctor??" (Me)
"He went for supplies." (Lucas)
"So she is!?" (Hale)

A whelp of agony and tears exploded from the girls after Hale said that. Confused, I ran into the room. Luna was laying there. With her wedding dress still on, her hair and face was still dressed up. Walking besides her, Hale and me wrapped our hands around hers. Hale was on the right side while I was on the left. Her red eyes opened slightly and stared at her. She tried to form a smile, but it didn't work.

"Hey, sister. How are you?" (Me)
"Sabina. Hale. I'm dying. I've lost too much blood." (Luna)
"No. We can give you more. You can still live, baby." (Hale)
"Hale..that's not the blood to bring me back to my full health. I will only suffer." (Luna)
"Luna.... Why are you saying that?! Are you ready to die??" (Me as tears ran down my face)
"Sister, you took care of me for years. Now it is time for  me to go." (Luna)
"No!! No you can't go! Please no.. Luna please jump up be happy. You aren't hurt. It's just a scratch. You will be ok." (Me crying)
"Yeah, Luna. She is right. It's nothing at all! We will go play and have fun! Like normal. Remember we can run in the rose garden." (Hale crying)
"While I was laying here, I thought of how I would tell each of you goodbye." (Luna)
"No Luna! You aren't saying goodbye...no... Please.." (Me crying)
"Please sister. Let me tell Hale's first." (Luna pausing and turning to Hale) "My handsome husband. I've known you for a short time, but I never felt more in love with anyone in my life. The nights we would watch the stars, run in the rose garden, or just be with each other has been the happiness moments.....I thought I would never meet a guy who could be every thing I ever wanted. You have been by my side. The first moment I saw you I knew you were the guy for me. Even though I won't live forever with you, I will always be in your heart. I love you, Hale Black. This love is as true as true love."
"Luna, the moon that lights up my life. I don't wanna say goodbye. I don't want to see a world without you. Your smile. Your laugh. Your face. My life will be nothing without you. I wish it was me laying in the bed instead of you. Me telling everyone goodbye. My love. Every moment with you has been the best days of my life. Those moments I will cherish forever until my last breathe. I wish I could go with you. I will always keep you in my heart. I will love no one as much as I do you. I love you, Luna Black. This love is as true as true love." (Hale crying the whole time holding Luna's hands tightly)

Her face twisted towards me. The beautiful shining smile on her face, but I saw the tears falling from her red eyes. No. It was my turn. No. I couldn't say goodbye to her. Why?

"Sabina, my older sister. You have always protected me. I know you have done evil things, but we are evil creatures. When mother died, you showed me even though we are in a evil world, family still is every thing we need. My life was perfect. Thank you. I don't wanna go, Sabina. Sissy, remember all the moments we had running around, playing games just being sisters. I remember when Daddy would play with us.. I can't wait to see him again. Mother..Father...but I won't get to see you again or hug you. Sister, could you hug me one last time?" (Luna)

Wrapping my arms around her, I felt her cold skin growing colder. Then, a whisper shot in my ear.

"I always knew you killed mother, but I figured out why. No matter what you ever did, sissy, I knew you did it for us. You are the best sister in the world! Don't ever change who you are. I love you....I really don't wanna go now.. But I hear them...I love you, sissy..with all my heart." (Luna)

Pulling away from Luna, I looked at her face and spoke my final words to her.

"Luna, my sweet baby girl. I tried, I tried protecting you. Finally, I failed. I wish I could be in your place. A cruel world will miss a beautiful smile. You taught me more than you think. You showed me how beautiful this world truly is. Without you, it will be nothing. I will miss you, my sweet Luna. You always knew how how to bring a smile to my face... I promise I won't kill anyone unless it is to protect the girls... I just wish... I just wish you weren't leaving me!! No... No... I love you so much, sissy...with all my heart..." (Me crying my eyes out)

A smile curved on her face. Then, I suddenly felt her grip disappear, and her eyes grow cold. Hale buried his face in her hand. Then, he slowly kissed her on the forehead. Tears streamed hard down my face. She was gone, but I couldn't believe it.

"No....wake up..WAKE UP!! Wake up...please Luna..." (Me trying to shake Luna) "LLLLUUUUNNNNAAA!!!!!!!!!!!" (Me screaming into the air and crying)





Side note: the next chapter will be the last. I will detail the girls wedding, and what happens to the girls after Luna's death! Thank y'all for reading it this far!!
