More than a Ball Gown

It was my 2nd Week at Princess Academy, and let me tell you now....PFTTTT! The classes are horrible. Well, maybe not for Ashlynn. She's literally on Level 7 already. Let me explain. There are levels in the academy. If all of us at least make it to Level 8 on 3 of our classes, we will get the Royal Certificate and $100,000. Talk about pressure. But that's not all. Ashlynn's on Level 7 on all of her classes. Including, Boys, Girls, Household and so much more! But I'm the lowest one, next to this geeky girl from New York. And that's barely a compliment.

It was almost time for Boys. And trust me, it's the stupidest class there. But today...today was really stupid. "Boys are hard to tame. They only dance when embarresed or while shy. In this class, you will learn how to tame a boy, while looking somewhat sexy" Mrs. Kivert announced. "Mrs.KIVERT!!!" everyone shouted. "Sexy" is not a princess word. But that's why I like Mrs.Kivert. She goes outside the border lines of things. It's really nice. Still the stupidest class though. So, all of us, decked out in fancy dresses, started dancing with a dummy.

No, not a boy dummy. An actual, plastic dummy. It was soooo weird. Ashlynn was doing fine though, and she glided with such grace, it seemed as if the dummy actually had legs, and actually had a smile on his face, while his blank eyes stared down at her. That's right. Ashlynn is VERY short. Shorter than Lulu. And Lulu is super short, the size of your average 4th grader. When class was over, I was held back. "Paige, I know this is a hard time right now. But being a princess is more than dressing up in a ball gown. Listen to me, Paige...your lucky to be here...don't throw this opportunity away" Mrs. Kivert then let me go, and I walked away slowly, but with confidence. She was right. From now on, I was going to exceed the princess standards.
