Dagona Temple
"Alright, Devil Girl. How do we get to Dagona Temple?" spoke Marcus as we strolled along in the forest. The bright summer sun warmed my skin while the cool wind blew my red hair with its flowing path. Waiting for a answer, Marcus walked beside me staring. Glancing over at the young man, I realized how different he had become. His hair had gotten longer, and his chest, arms, legs, and anything else seemed to appear more muscular. As I glanced at him, I began to feel a strange feeling in my gut. The feeling swarmed inside my chest. I had never felt this feeling, but it felt warm and loving. Could Marcus be changing my emotions?Remembering Marcus' question, I answered, "Have you ever flied through the sky?"
"No. Are we going on a plane? If so with what money? I am broke, and good looks will only get you so far.." before he finished the sentence, I had already changed into my demon form. My demon wings extended out in front of him showing off their dark presence. "This did not scare me as a kid, yet now I feel a bit piss in my pants. How did you grow wings and a tail without your clothes ripping to pieces? What is with those red marks and crazy ears? I mean I love your eyes match your hair but how?" he asked annoyingly.
Grabbing his hands, I said, "This takes years of practice, but you talk too much. How about we fly?" With no time to answer my question, I pushed off the ground and began flapping my wings. Marcus held tightly onto my wrists. His weight seemed to be like a feather as I flew through the air.
"Ok. Do not look down. Do not look down." Marcus kept repeating that same sentence till he looked down and freaked out saying," Holy shit! Do not dro.." Marcus started gagging and coughing then finished by saying," I swallowed a damn bug!"
"If you stopped talking, you would not swallow one again." I said laughing at the silly boy. Even though his appearance has changed, Marcus' personality has not. Looking down, I spotted ruins of destroyed temples. Pillars had been split in half or completely demolished. Blocks of cracked stone and wild ivy covered around the territory. Realizing how close we are, I flew down to the ground. Clouds hit us in the face until a gathering of lust trees appeared. After flying in the gathering of trees, I landed on a dirt path where trees were separated. I place Marcus feet first on the ground then landed on my feet. "From here, we will walk. I do not feel like destroying a temple today." I said walking north to the temple.
"So Michaela?" Marcus asked walking beside me. Placing his hand in his pockets, he asked, "Why are you still in demon form? Exorcists could find you and kill you."
Glancing at Marcus, I began to laugh. Chuckling, I answered, "Exorcists kill me? You are hilarious! I would love to see them try. It would be enjoyable to see them burn."
Marcus' blue eyes got wider and said, "Now your scare the shit out of me meter has burst." While Marcus laughed at his own joke, voices started approaching from the north. Grabbing Marcus' jacket, I jumped up onto a tree with plentiful leaves and branches. "So this is where you.." I covered his mouth before the voices heard us. Coming near us was two royal exorcists from the temple. Both were black robes with gold crosses on the back and were bald. Making their way under the tree, they began to chat.
"You think the Devil Skank will come here?" chuckled the brown eyed exorcist.
"Depends how stupid she is to die. No way a demon can get past exorcists like us!" mocked the blue eyed exorcist. I cling my hand in a fist having red flames appear on my knuckles. Then, Marcus placed his hand on top of mine. Relaxing my anger, the fire disappeared, and the exorcists continued to walk to the south making fun of me.
Jumping off the branch, I looked at Marcus and said, "Next time, I am turning them into ash."
"Well my nose had no interest in smelling burning bodies." Marcus joked as we ran in the direction of the temple. Finally, we made it to Dagona Temple. The temple appeared to be a giant couple of rocks hollowed out to make a temple. On the west side, the brown rugged rock went straight up but with a curved top. The other side was a brown rugged rock that laid down on the ground with a semi circle like shape. Both sides had windows cut open with white shutters. Looking at the entrance and windows, exorcists covered the area. Lucky for us, trees covered the entire area. Using my hands, I motioned Marcus to follow me. Circling around the temple, we found a entrance in the back with two exorcists guarding it,
"Ok. I will go up and talk to them while you.." Marcus attempted to tell me a strategy, but I was already behind the exorcist with blonde hair guarding the door. Grabbing his head, I clenched my fingers onto his head. Twisting his head around, I heard a snapping sound emerge from his neck making his body go limp. After that, I moved on to the grey haired exorcist. Clenching his neck, I drew my sword pushing it on his pale neck.
"Tell me where the flame crystals are, or I will slit your throat. Until then, Shadowfire will burn your skin with its deadly poison." I ordered pressing the sword harder onto the exorcist. The fire from the sword burned the exorcist's skin. Smell of burnt skin filled the air with a lingering aroma.
"Through this door you go left, and it is the last door in the hallway." cowering in fear, the exorcist spoke.
"Thank you for your help, you pathetic piece of garbage." I said pulling Shadowfire across the skin on his neck. The exorcist fell to the ground gripping his neck as blood covered his hands and ground.
Shoving Shadowfire back in its hilt, Marcus walked up to me saying, "Was that necessary?"
"It was either them or us. Now come on." I ordered opening the door.
Walking through the door, I found a four way. The walls were brown rock sled down to where it was able to stay, and nothing hung on them. Turning left, Marcus and I ran down the rock hallway to the last door. The door was unlike the others and was a black wood. Pushing the door open, I saw a room. Everything was painted black. No windows surrounded the room, so no color entered the room. The only color entering the room was the flame crystals. In the middle of the room, the crystals laid on a blanket. The five colors radiated through the rocky room.
Walking to the crystals, I reach out for them. Wrapping the crystals in the blanket, I picked them up and carried them like a sack. I felt the power of the flames steaming from the sack. Marcus stood at the exit watching outside for exorcist. "Ok. Lets go." I ordered running out the door. Passing through the hallway, we exited through the door. Running around the temple, Marcus had not said one word since I killed those two exorcists. The wind surrounded us with a earthy smell of dirt and flowers filling the air. After making it a good mile away from the temple, I stopped and sat down on the dirt covered terrain.
Opening the blanket, I glanced at the five crystals. They were shaped like round rocks but with colors. "Well that went smoothly!" I said holding the red crystal. I threw it up in the air several times continuously catching it.
"How could you kill two guys without mercy?" Marcus said appearing as if hurt by the thought of the exorcist's death.
"After seeing them kill the other flames, I show no mercy. You will realize that soon enough," saying that I rose to my feet.
"What if they had a family?" Marcus asked. Those words pierced my dark heart with the thought of children becoming orphans.
"Then, I am sorry." I said catching the red crystal.
Then, I heard my father's voice say, "Is everything going according to plan?"
Responding back, I thought, "Yes. The crystals are in my hands. Shall I bring the blue flame to Hell with me?"
"Only way to revive Damian." father said. After that, his voice disappeared.
Bending down to wrap the crystals back in the blanket, I said," Get ready, Marcus."
"For what?" he asked confused.
Placing the crystals in my back, I said, "We are going to Hell. Ready to meet daddy?"
