Anti-cupid.

It was February 13th which meant tomorrow was Valentine's day. Everyone knows Cupid but you could say I help her. I act like the anti-cupid. I make people hate each other. That way Cupid can help them in the end. No one knows that I do this but hey it's my job. I have seen Cupid only once a year to talk about this. My arrows were made by one of my friends but I had to make them forget it. I wish I could tell someone but I couldn't. I walked down stairs with a large duffle bag that had my arrows and bow. "Hey Alexis tomorrow is Valentine's day," Sonic said smiling at me. "Yeah it sure is." "What's in the bag?" I put the bag behind me. "Then why are you hiding it? Is it something for me?" He asked smiling. I stared down. "I have to go somewhere," I said. "Where are you going?" Shadow asked. "Somewhere," I said holding the bag closer to me. Knuckles tried to grab my bag, but I snatched it back. "Gloves off," I growled and ran out the door. I flew into the city and stood on the edge of a roof. I saw a happy couple and aimed my arrow. I only needed to shoot one arrow to get them to fight. I felt a hand on my shoulder and the arrow hit the ground of the couple. I turned around and saw Sonic had his hand on my shoulder. "Alexis what are you doing?" He asked. "You made me miss," I said. I saw another couple and shot the guy. He started yelling at her and they both split up. "What was that?" Sonic asked. "If I tell you I can't tell anyone." "What is it?" I sighed. "I make couples split up," I said. "I'm like the anti-cupid I do this as a favor for cupid so she can reunite them." "So your doing a good thing?" I nodded. "Not even Tails and Silver know this." "Don't worry it'll be our little secret," Sonic said winking at me. "Want to help?" Sonic nodded and sat down. "There's a couple," Sonic said pointing to a green male cat and a gray female cat. I fired an arrow and it hit the girl. Sonic kept helping me do this and I found more people than I ever did by myself. "Thanks for the help Sonic, now tomorrow Cupid can do her magic." "I though Cupid was a guy?" "No he passed down his job to his daughter." "He has a daughter?" "Cupid is an adopted daughter." "Really! He's the god of love and he's not married." I smacked his arm. "Shut up." Sonic laughed and we both came down from the building. "Remember Sonic you can't tell anyone," I said as we were outside the door of the house. Sonic handed me my duffle bag and we both went inside. "Hey guys. What's with the bag?" Knuckles asked. "N-nothing," I said running up stairs. "Where were you two?" Knuckles asked. I stuffed the bag in my closet. When I opened my door I was shocked when Shadow was in front of my way. "Hi Shadow, what's up?" "What's in the bag?" He asked sternly. "Why do you care?" I asked. "I don't." I stared him in the eyes but found no answers. Shadow smirked at me and I moved past him. Sonic was whispering to Tails and I pulled him away. "What?" "Did you tell him?" "No I told you I wouldn't." "Sorry I get so nervous." "Don't worry." "I get nervous what if they found out." "It's our secret," Sonic said hugging me. "What secret?" Shadow, Knuckles, Silver, and Tails asked. "What secret?" Sonic asked trying to cover it up. "It's to late Sonic, they heard us." "You want the truth?" I asked. They all nodded. "Be right back," I said walking upstairs. I came back down and placed the duffle bag on the couch. I held out my bow and arrows. "What are those?" Tails asked. "Come outside," I said opening the door. We all walked outside and hid in the trees. "What are you doing?" Silver asked. "Quiet," I hissed. I saw another couple it was a brown hedgehog girl and a black male bat. I shot my arrow and hit them both which for me is very rare. They both started fighting and walked away. "Why did you do that?" Knuckles asked as we all came out of hiding. "I'm like the anti-cupid. I make couples hate each other so Cupid can do her job and reunite them." "Cupid's a guy." Silver said. "No he has an adopted daughter." "And her name is Cupid?" Sonic and I nodded. "Is he married?" "No." "Why didn't you tell us?" Tails asked. "Because if I tell people I have to stop." "So that was your guy's secret?" Shadow asked. "Yeah what did you think it was?" I asked. Shadow blushed. "Nothing." I stared at him and we all went inside.
