Scootaloo's story

\\\ A wish and letter ///

Scootaloo looked out of her bedroom window at the moon and stars, "starlight, star bright hear my wish tonight, I wish for a mother, my mother that brought me into this world would be nice."

There was a knock on her door and a strawberry coloured mare with raspberry mane came in, "Scootaloo Sweetie it's lights out now."

Scootaloo nods then hops into bed and the mare tucks her in, "Night Mrs. Heart."

Mrs. Heart smiles, "night Scootaloo." She then closes the door behind her as she leaves and Scootaloo sighs then slowly falls asleep.

Scootaloo was up as Celestia rose the sun and she was writing a letter,

Dear Rainbow Dash,
I thought I'd write to you to ask you for a favour,
Can I stay the weekend with you, I can now fly so thought I could watch you and your awesome moves. I also wanted to spend some time together,
Signed your little sister,
Scootaloo.

Scootaloo got up and saw there was no more envelopes, "Mrs. Heart can I have a envelope please." She called and soon Mrs. Heart walks in and hands her a envelope, "Here you go Scootaloo, who you sending this to?" Scootaloo smiles and hands her the letter to read and Mrs. Heart half frowns, "sister? What do you mean?" Scootaloo replies, "well I saw Applebloom with her sister Applejack and Sweetie Bell with her sister Rarity and I had nopony. So on that camping trip we all had I told Rainbow I had nopony as a mentor so she said she would, and she would love a little sister."

Mrs. Hearts eyes soften, "your one lucky filly then, having your idol as your Big Sister."

Scootaloo nods, "Can you send it today?"

Mrs. Heart looks at the clock, "well if you hurry to the mailbox you could catch Derpy in time."

Scootaloo Hugs Mrs. Heart then flies out the window to the mailbox, she had waited several minutes when the grey mare fluttered down, "Morning Scootaloo, sorry but there's no mail for you today."

Scootaloo looks up and smiles, "oh I'm not here to get mail I want to send mail. Have you been to Rainbow Dashes yet?"

Derpy shook her head, "nope, I do Ponyville 1st then Cloudsdale."

Scootaloo sighs, "well can you take this to her?"

Derpy nods, "Not a problem." She hands Scootaloo the mail then takes the letter then waves as she flaps off.

Scootaloo flies back into her room and Mrs. Heart tapped her hoof on the ground, "Howany times have I told you not to fly out that window."

Scootaloo gulps, "Sorry Mrs. Heart I just wanted to get the letter out."

Mrs. Heart smiles, "it's fine just remember to stop and think."

Scootaloo nods and then heads downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning Scootaloo."

"Morning milkweed."

Scootaloo smiles at the filly that was a few younger then her, "how did your interview with that mare go?"

Milkweed sighs, "no, they had an argument between a filly or a colt."

Scootaloo hugs the filly, "don't worry Milkweed as long as I'm here you'll have family."

Milkweed smiles then she hears her name being called so dashed off.

Scootaloo finished breakfast then calls out, "Mrs. Heart I'm going to check the mail."

The she walks out the door and flies to the mailbox, she opens it and pulls out a hand full of letters, "Bills, Bills, letter for blueberry, letter for Milkweed, letter for Mr. Heart, letter for Rainbow Dash, letter for me.." She looks back, "a letter for rainbow?" She walks back in the door, "Mr. And Mrs. Heart, Milkweed, Blueberry mail for you!"

Blueberry and Milkweed dash in and are handed letters then Scootaloo hands the rest to Mr. Heart.

"I got a letter from Rainbow, but also got one for rainbow."

Mrs. Heart looks at the letter for Rainbow, "Well if your gonna go spend time with her you can take it."

Scootaloo nod then opens her letter and read it;

Dear Squirt,
I'd love it if you came,
Iv got something to talk to you about.
I'll be over after clearing the clouds this morning,
Signed,
Rainbow Dash.

Scootaloo squealed in delight then flew to her room to pack, she had just packed when Mr. Heart Called, "Scootaloo Miss Dash is here."

Scootaloo out on her large saddle bag then trotted to the door, she hugged Mr and Mrs. Heart, "I promise to listen to her and to obey her rules."

Mrs. Heart nods and rainbow nods, "She'll be fine Love Heart, after all I'm looking after her."

They then set off for rainbows house, as they entered Rainbow blushes a little, "sorry bout the mess, I was meant to clean before I went to work."

Scootaloo smiles, "it's ok Rainbow, after all I'm just your sister."

Scootaloo puts down her Saddle bag and pulls out the letter, "Rainbow there was a letter for you at the home."

Rainbow was in the kitchen tidying and replies, "can you read it to me."

Scootaloo nods, "umm sure."
She opens it and begins to read;

Dearest Rainbow Dash,
I am sorry for not keeping in contact since the time we broke up. I wasn't ready for that next step and walking out on you was by far the most stupidest thing Iv ever done. If you can, find it in your heart to forgive such a foolish colt.

"Rainbow are you ok?"

Rainbow Dash walks out of the kitchen, "yeah." She sighs, "I think it's time for that talk."

Scootaloo follows Rainbow Dash into the lounge, "That colt is the most important part for this." Rainbow looks at Scootaloo, "I'm sorry but I can't keep being your sister anymore, there's a truth I never told you."

Scootaloo was take. Back but remained silent as Rainbow Dash continued.

"that colt and I back when I was young and naïve, me and that colt were madly in love, and it was one night that changed everything. He decided to move In, of corse I thought it was the bees knees; anyway. The next morning I felt sick and so he rung a Doctor.  He came and examined me and said I was pregnant. At this time I donno who was more shocked, me or him. But he payed the doctor then comforted me saying he would do whatever he could. I was happy but that only lasted a week or so then he packed and before leaving said he wasn't ready to be a father he just started his new job. And that was the last I herd from him."

Scootaloo's eyes widen, "your a mother!"

Rainbow Dash nodded then continued, "to make things go faster. I greaves till the baby was due and at 4pm I had given birth to a Orange filly with a pink mane. Once home I realised I couldn't keep y- it as I didn't make enough, I was also scared that I wasn't ready so I gave the filly to a home." She looks at Scootaloo, "Scootaloo, your that filly."

Scootaloo just stood there, after a few minutes she shook her head, "your-your my mother?!"

Rainbow Dash nods, "yes."

Scootaloo smiles, "well that explains a lot."

Rainbow Dash sighs then smiled and then Scootaloo looks into Rainbow Dashes eyes, "only one thing. You said that colt was important, who was he?"

Rainbow smiled, "I'll contact him tomorrow before or after work."

Scootaloo nods then hugs Rainbow, "I love you... Mum."

With tears in her eyes Rainbow Hugs Scootaloo back, "Love you too."

As they parted there was a knock on the door and Rainbow answers it, "oh good your here come in."

"Who's that?" Asked Scootaloo then stopped and bowed, "Princess Twilight."

Twilight giggles, "arise Scootaloo." She looks at Rainbow, "Rainbow your crying what happened?"

Rainbow dash looks at Scootaloo then back to Princess Twilight, "oh these are happy tears, I finally got a burden off my chest that I couldn't tell anypony till just a moment ago."

Scootaloo jumps, " I'm not an orphan anymore!" She exploded.

Rainbow dash between clenched teeth mumbled to Scootaloo, "exnea on the pony-a."

Princess Twilight looks at them, "I herd that what is to keep from your friend?"

Rainbow groans in defeat, "Scootaloo is my Daughter.. There I said it."

Princess Twilight gasps, "but I thought you were always busy training to be a Wonderbolt."

Scootaloo speaks softly, "mum... Can I go tell my friends the news?"

Rainbow looks down, "ok but be home by lunch your father if accepts the invite will be here for lunch."

Scootaloo nods then hugs Rainbow and bows to Princess Twilight then flies off.
