Love Or Hate

Chapter 6

It's now October and Daniela and Allison walked down to lunch. "I am starving!" exclaimed Daniela to Allison. "Yeah, me too." replied Allison putting her hand to her stomach, feeling it rumble. They both laughed as they entered the cafeteria. "Hey Daniela, can you sit at our table today?" asked someone. Daniela turned and looked next to her. "Oh, hey Melissa and Kate. I don't know if I can sit at your table . . ." said Daniela turning head to the side and looking at Allison. "It's alright you can sit there for today." said Allison, and she walked on to their own table with Hana and the others. "Yay!" said Kate. Daniela sat down in the seat next to Melissa. "I am so happy that you got to sit here today!" beamed Melissa. Daniela beamed back, "Yeah me too." Then, a boy came and sat in the chair next to Daniela, not noticing her. "Hey, Felix." greeted Melissa. Daniela was surprised to hear the name. She turned to look next to her. Daniela was shocked to see the boy next to her. Felix Hernandez was just about Daniela's height. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes. He had on a orange sweater, black jeans, and black shoes. Felix wore glasses as well. "Hey Melissa . . ." Felix started as he turned to face Melissa, but then he saw Daniela. "Um, hi Daniela, I didn't see you there." said Felix awkwardly. "Uh, no worries . . . nice to see you again." assured Daniela awkwardly as well, but she smiled brightly. Felix and Daniela blushed. "Yeah . . . How long has it been?" he asked. "Since fourth grade." answered Daniela nodding her head. "Yup." Felix replied back, nodding his head as well.
Everyone at the table looked at them confused, except for Melissa. She knew why they were both acting this way, Melissa had known them both long enough to know exactly why this was happening. Melissa elbowed Daniela softly. Daniela turned to look at her friend. "You're blushing." Melissa whispered in Daniela's ear. Daniela blushed even harder. Why am I blushing?? Well, maybe I do know, but it wouldn't make any sense! I did have a crush on Felix but its a while since then. Oh no! What if it's coming back to me??? asked Daniela over and over again in her head. She started to become a bit dizzy. Felix and Melissa noticed Daniela's head moving back and forth. "Daniela, are you okay?" asked Felix. "Yeah, you look a bit dizzy." added Melissa. "Yeah, guess so, maybe I should go to my own table." said Daniela starting to get up. "Wait, why? Stay please." begged Melissa. "Yes, and if you are feeling dizzy, it's best just to sit down, not to stand up." advised Felix. Daniela looked at Felix and Melissa, they both nodded their heads. Daniela sighed and sat back down.
Daniela finished her lunch. She sat there in her seat bored. Daniela was so used having her other friends being weird and crazy, that she felt unamused sitting in another table with different people. Daniela rested her head on her hand and stared off into space. "Um Daniela," Melissa said, starting to poke Daniela's head, "Are you okay? You seem bored." Daniela turned and looked at Melissa plainly. "I am. I guess I'm not used to sitting at your table than at my table, I can see a total difference between tables." Melissa looked at Daniela disappointingly, then she went back to talking to her friends.
Daniela soon had the feeling someone was looking at her. She looked up and scanned around the lunchroom. Her eyes then fell upon Louis' table. Daniela looked at Louis. Louis then looked up at Daniela and they both made eye contact from across the room. Their cheeks both turned red and they looked away. Felix noticed Daniela's face flustered. He looked over at Louis. Louis took another peek at Daniela until he noticed Felix. They both made eye contact as well. Felix's eyes glared at Louis. A smirk arose on Felix's face. Louis raised an eyebrow and then looked away.
