Obi and I

"Turtles can fly"

Here she was, Indie was in the zoo, something seemed strange though, there was nobody there;no animals, no people and it was dark.
She felt so cold and lonely, she hated the dark. However, her best friend was there; Obi! She raced over to him, kissing him and talking to him, "Don't worry Obi," she said, with tears running down her face, "they're not gonna get you, I'm gonna run away and your comin' with me!" she sat on the grass, watching Obi eating it, when all of a sudden, "Don't worry Indie." said an old crackled voice which scared the living daylights out of Indie, "What was that Obi? You're here to protect me, right?" she held on to him so tight, when again, "Oh Indie, it's me talking! Obi!" she looked up in amazement to see her best friend talk and smile right at her, "Obi? I always knew you listened to me, but I never knew that I would be able to listen to you!" Obi carried on talking, "Oh Indie, what a wonderful friend you have been to me. I am 209 years older than you today, do you know that? Anyway dear friend, I must leave this delightful world, I must leave you, I hope you understand that my time has come, and I would love to thank you for all you have done for me, I will never forget you Indie, you are the best friend I have ever had. I am ever so grateful for-well, everything that you have done. Good bye good friend, good bye." he then stretched out his long neck, Indie clung on to it, "Oh Obi! Don't leave! You're the only friend I have. I'll miss you so much, I love you so much!" she backed away as Obi said, "If you will excuse me, I have to spread my wings and fly to heaven, cheerio Indie, thank you ever so much!" she sat down on the grass and watched Obi in amazement fly away; he was so graceful, he glided like a bird into the moon, her best friend was long gone-but wait! Who left her at the zoo? And why would she be here at this time of the night? It was a dream! She awoke with a smile on her face, knowing that her best friend wasn't in heaven, he was at he zoo!
