A Whisper conversation
Star quietly sat down, getting comfortable for the conversation. Star stood still, one movement could bust her cover. Taking in quick breaths, she pricked her ears to make out the whisper conversation."Sorry I arrived a little late, Wind was yapping about some lesson, that I didn't care about" Melon meowed, "it really is a bore to have some dog like that". "I brought him in because he's fast and smart" Striker growled, "were you insulting my decision?". "Striker, he acts like an elder, telling us youngers what to do! So of course I am" Melon hissed, "maybe you should find a dog to replace him". "SHUT UP! We are not here to discuss your whiny problems with a Wildmate" Striker grunted, "let's talk about why we're really here".
"Of course" Melon meowed, "that is why we sneak out here every night for". Striker rolled his eyes, "no more chitchat! We need to move on". Star peeked through the bush, seeing the two lay down.
"Now that you've arrived, we can finally start moving in to phase two in our plan" Striker cackled, "killing that stupid, little Star". Star put her paw in her mouth to block her gasp of horror. "The little Brat is destined with healing powers, and luckily she doesn't know it" Striker went on, "if she doesn't know how to use them, then she'll won't be able to heal herself, when death comes in". Melon quietly clapped her paws, and Striker smiled at it.
"But what are we killing her with?" Melon asked. "Excellent question! I was waiting for you to ask that" Striker put his paw and pulled out a dart, "A poison dart, of course". "But what if the poison isn't strong enough to kill her?" Melon wondered out loud. "Because, this is the 'Addertongus' poison, the most deadly poison from any plant in the world!" Striker cackled again. "Smarter and Smarter, Striker" Melon purred.
"But why a dart?" Melon asked. "Great question! Because it fits in the plan" Striker purred, "when I tell the Wilds there's a fox on our territory, I'll send you. But little do they know that there is no fox, you'll shot the dart from Star's den, killing her".
"Oh Striker, your terrible" Melon purred at him, "I wish I had your evil mind". "Heh, I get that a lot, I'm famous" boasted Striker. Then in a horrible moment, the two started cackling. Star put her paws to her ears, it was the worse sound she had ever heard.
Remember in the first paragraph, second sentence. Read it again, Star stood still, one movement could bust her cover. And if you read the last sentence of paragraph five, the last sentence, what did Star do? Covered her ears with her paws, movement detected.
'Shrush' leaves bustled under star as she lifted up her paws. "Did you hear that?" Striker and Melon stopped their cackling. "Search the area!" Striker commanded.
Star raced away, but Striker saw the last bit of her white fur, and cackled. "Looks like the brat knows, oh well" Striker meowed, "to bad everyone believes their leader".
