The Tiger's Shadow
Star paced in her den, thinking how to convince her Wildmates that Striker was making a plan right under their noses. But Striker had made the rules so well, each rule was made to help his plan. If she broke one, she would become an easier target by having to stay in camp.Star sighed, she needed to save her life and her Wildmates. Star blinked, and thought for a moment. If she was destined with healing powers, why not try to use them? Star grabbed a sharp stone, and cut herself.
Blood gushed out, 'heal, heal, heal', Star contracted. Star felt her leg get dry, and fluffly again. Looking down, Star saw no deep cut, or blood. "I can do it" gasped Star.
"Star? Can I come in?" it was Shadow. "Of course" Star meowed, to amazed to glance at Shadow as he came in. "Hey, Star I've been meaning to tell you something, you see every night I go down to this bush, and watch something" Shadow started, "it's always Striker and Melon that are talking, and they're planning to do something terrible. Hey, what are you doing with that sharp stone?!". "Nothing important" Star murmured to Shadow, who looked at her uncertainly. "Well anyways, you are destined with heal powers, and Melon is going to kill you with a dart" Shadow choked out the words.
"Where do you think I was last night? At a bush. What did you think I had a sharp stone?!" Star faced Shadow, "I was testing my healing, I know". "Really?" Shadow asked, Star nodded. "Wow, well look we need to convince everyone that Striker and Melon need to be kicked out" Shadow meowed. Star nodded, "wait, you know the amulet the leader wears?". "Yes, it gives the Leader the power to summon the Cat goddess" Shadow explained. "Is there some way the amulet picks the leader?" Star asked. "Actually, that's how it works, when the leader dies/ disappears the amulet picks a new one" Shadow meowed, "also if the leader steps down from the position". "I think we could kill Melon by getting to the dart first" Star meowed, "then we could gather up Striker's shedding hairs and put them in her claws. Next, we get some mud from his den and put it on us, to disguise our sent". "After that we'll bring the body to camp, and blame Striker. He'll step down from position, and the amulet will pick someone new to be leader" Star smiled, "What do you think?". "It's excellent!" Shadow concluded.
I will not tell you the details of what happened during the plan of Shadow and Star. For, it is to gruesome.
"And that is why, Striker should be kicked out" Star finished her presentation of her "real" evidence, shouts of agreement rose from the crowd. Striker growled as the amulet flew off of him, and landed in front of Star. "It looks like the amulet wants me to choose the new leader, Fire-set is the new leader" Star choose carefully.
"As the new leader, I declare Striker banished from the Wild camp and Wild territory" Fire-set yowled.
As Striker padded out he hissed his last words to the Wilds, "Just remember this, the Tiger's Shadow will loom over you, forever".
