"Can I answer tomorrow?" I asked a little nervous of making the wrong choice.
"Um, okay" she said a little suspicious. "I actually have to leave"
I began to feel like she was going to leave and never come back "where are you going?" I asked.
"I'm, um, going to go meet Mark. We're going on a date later" she said looking out the door like if she had to leave a long time ago.
"Oh, okay" I said with a smile.
We walked to the door and I stood ther waving goodbye until she was out of sight. Once she was gone, I went up to my room and did my homework. I did half of it then just started drifting off into my thoughts.
Why was Crystal being suspicious? Or was that just me? I think it was probably just my imagination.
I was interrupted by a text message from Valerie that read "Meet me @Starbucks at 5:30"
Should I go or make up an excuse? I decided to respond by saying "sry can't go. Got 2 much HW"  even though I was done with all of it and had nothing to do.
She replied in like 2.5 seconds saying "It's an emergency" with like fifteen exclamation marks.
I'm just gonna go, not tell her not tell dad I'm leaving. So, I did. I went to Starbucks and sat in the booth closest to the door. I sat there for 5 minutes until she walked in.
"I thought you were busy" she said sitting down.
"I finished then, I came" I lied. "So, what was the emergency?" I asked.
She pulled out her white book bag and looked through. She took out, notebooks, folders, pencils, pens and her phone until she got what she was looking for. She put a note in front of me and said "read this, it's from Crystal"
