Chapter 11
Bella's point of view:Should I have told him the truth? Would I really risk my life for him? Yes, I would, the voice in my head snapped. I look at him, feeling the bright full moon shining behind us. "Don't move," I whispered and kissed him gently, snapping my head away abruptly.
"That was pathetic," he smirked.
"What?"
"This is how you do it." He leant forward and pulled me into a long passionate kiss. My heart started beating fast. We were two silhouettes against the moonlight. Regretfully it was me who pulled away. "They're here," I whispered, watching the familiar black limo pull up. Several men jumped out, armed with guns. My heart continued to beat fast, but not from thrill, this time with fright. Was I really ready to do this? Let him go into the warehouse I was meant to go into?
"Listen Bella. This won't be the last time I see you. I'll make sure we'll see each other again."
"How?" I asked, panicked. I didn't want to leave him. Not now. Not after all this.
He leant in further, his minty breath fresh. "This is what I'm going to do. I'm going to steal you." My heart fluttered. Why didn't I hate him? This fairy-tale had gone all wrong.
"Come on," he urged, slowly edging down the wall. I followed him and inhaled sharply. We landed hard on the tarmac and he nodded at me, breathing fast. "See you," he said. I smiled sheepishly and returned the comment.
"See you."
And we parted, left with nothing but that.
