Halloween Night
Witches and goblins gather aroundAs they watch the spirits rise up from the ground
A rising corpse comes out of its grave
As a bat swoops out of it's cave
As the creatures gather around in sight
They do it this day on Halloween night.
(Author's Note: I was nine years old when I first started writing Halloween poems. This was the very first one I did. This one and "Rattlebone Rock" and "Witchy Cat". My other poem, "The Witch" I wrote in either grade for a Halloween poem project. I got a 100 on it because the teacher loved the way I made it rhyme and gave it such detail. =) I wish I could find my other poems that I wrote, but I can't seem to find them. I wrote alot of poems when I was little. They may sound stupid and cheesy, but what can you expect from a nine year old who just started writing Halloween poems lol. If you are reading this, may I ask how old were you when you first started writing? I was in second grade when I first started writing. I think I was eight years old at the time and the first thing I wrote was a witch two-page short story. Then after that, I wrote a vampire and a mummy two-page short story. I remember those because my little Halloween Activity book gave me the ideas for the stories haha, but if you want, leave a comment below telling me how old you were when you first started. I was 8 (2nd grade) when I first started writing. How old were you?)
