Chapter 2

Slowly, I made my way across to the canteen. Normally, I'd be running and racing towards Jack after a period of double maths- These days, I'm more reluctant. I trail my feet across the squeaky ground and scan my eyes around the room for Jack and his mopp of dark black hair and icy blue eyes.

I see him, it isn't a victory. He's sitting with some other girl with brown hair and amber eyes. They're smiling ahd he's laughing at something she says. She snakes an arm around his shoulders, he doesn't protest.

I run out of the canteen room, tears welling up in my eyes. I have to find somewhere. Yes!The library! I dash towards the library and shove a copy of the Harry Potter book out of my bag. Shaking, I flop onto a bean bag and lose my self in the battle with Harry and Voldemort. How could he? He's meant to be making it up to me.

My eyes flicker and I'm asleep, sleeping beauty huh? zzz... Voices, Jack and another girl. I pretend to be asleep. "She's fallen asleep with Harry Potter again!" I hear Jack chuckle as he brushes my hair off my cheek. "Who's she, you never mentioned her in our daily letters." They've been sending letters, he hasnt told me about it, he hasnt even mentioned me!!! Yeh! I thought bitterly, Just hide the fact that you have a girlfreind! I feel sick. I can't take it anymore.

Jack jumps back as I leap off the bean bag, and run out of the library. "STELLA WAIT! IT'S NOT WHAT IT SEEMS!" My heart is breaking breaking breaking... I speed up the empty corridors just as the bell rings. Saved by the bell. A charge of people racing out the canteen blocks the library from me.
