Chapter 9- Fly Me Away
Solus went to the roof and sat against the fence. I followed cause I had nothing better to do and, well, he's like a magnet. I want to know what he will do next.
His eyes were closed and he looked as if he was sleeping. I sat next to him and looked at him, trying to figure out who he is. I remembered all the things he did throughout the day, and it made me smile. He's really a one of a kind.
"What?", I flinched as I realized Solus was looking at me. Up close, his eyes seemed almost rainbow like, flecks of every colour spread out across his eyes. They changed in the light.
"N-nothing. Just thinking, that's all." I felt embarrassed. He probably thinks I'm a weirdo for staring at him. But he just laughed.
"You don't have to be shy. I don't mind people staring at me. Its kind of a lifetime thing."
Was he joking? or being serious?
"Lifetime thing?"
"Well yeah. Everyone I meet stares at me like I'm some kind of freak. Either that or their amazed. That's what I sense anyways.."
He acted casual about it, like we were friends for awhile. I loved it.
"It's the same here, but I don't know about amazed.. wait a second.. did you say sense?"
He nodded.
"You can feel my aura right?" I nodded. How could I not feel it? It makes the very air feel alive.
"Well, I use my aura on a daily basis. Its another sense for me. I can feel intentions, although weakly, and I can tell if someone is dying or trying to sneak up on me."
"That's amazing. how big does your senses go?"
"bout' 15 feet any direction"
I was about to say it was amazing again, but I stopped myself. I didn't want to sound stupid. Then I saw his wings.
"Can you fly?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
"I've never really seen you fly, just glide."
He smiled and said, "That's cause I don't like showing off"
He doesn't need to. Everyone notices him anyways.
"Can you.. I don't know.. Fly right now?"
He grinned, as if he knew my true intentions. I sure as hell didn't.
"Hop on and I'll show you"
I was surprised. Was he being serious? Could he actually give me a ride? I've always wanted to fly..
"Really?"
"Yeah, of course. I need to stretch my wings anyways"
He got up and helped me up, then crouched so I could get on his back. I hopped on and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. He smelled like Honeysuckle. I heard a faint slither as he spread his wings out. They were longer then I expected, and a slightly darker shade on the inside. Then suddenly he raised them, and the next thing I knew we were launched into the air.

Chapter 9 is done
After all, I am a whiz with quizzes
Susie went on a walk across See More the park. Suddenly--
The word 'suddenly' adds suspense, and makes you want to know what happens next. You read on, often quicker, to match the pace of the story.
When your ending a chapter, put something that finishes your thought, yet has potential to open up the next chapter. I'm not sure how to make an example of this, so just look at the last sentence or words at the end of my chapters. It SHOULD make you think, make you wonder, what is going to happen next. Or even make some theories in your head for later in the book.
Out of curiosity, what do you think is going to happen next in my book?
@moonston
I hope I'm not confusing. that's one tip.
@moonston
For example, Ash (which can be a boy or a girl), has problems with their magic, and feels like Solus is kind and mysterious. She thinks he is powerful, but holding See More back.
In Solus's opinion (which I don't want to spoil anything so I'll be vague), doesn't feel right in the class. He is different, and everyone knows he's differernt, so he hides his secrets and thoughts well. In chapter 7, he starts taking more notice in Ash, cause she helped him.
@moonston
