Chapter 10- Roller coaster Ride
He levelled off, at least 20 feet above where we were sitting. He rubbed his ear.
"Ow"
"I-I'm sorry. I never f-flew before."
"Its alright, just try not to yell so close to my ear. Tell me, do you like rollercoasters?"
I loved them, they were my favorite attraction.
"Yes?"
"Then I hope you like this" He flew even higher in the air, at least 50 feet now, then tucked his wings in a little so they went partly around me. We dove down, wind ripping through my hair. For a few second I didn't scream, then I gave out a shout of joy. I put my arms in the air, unafraid of falling off now. Gravity took hold of me yet again. I felt free, happy, and above all a big burst of adrenaline. Just before we splatted on the ground he spread his wings and tilted upward. We flew right over the ground, things going by so fast they looked blurred. He didn't even use any effort. How fast can he really go?
"Yes! faster Faster!" I sounded like a little kid again, begging for more. But I couldn't help myself. It was just too fun. He looked at me and smiled, then flew straight up. I had to wrap my arms around him again to keep from falling off. We flew really high really quickly, and looking down made my stomach twirl. Were those people? Or ants?
"w-woah.. what are you--?"
He dove down again, and my voice was cut away by the wind. He turned mid-air, doing a barrel roll. I had to hang on for dear life to hold on... Then suddenly I wasn't. I was freefalling through the air, unsure whether down was up or up was down. I screamed, and said the only thing I knew that could save me.
"SOLUS!! Help!!"
He instantly dove down to catch me. He put his arms around me and instantly I hugged him, squeezing him as tightly as I could. The ground was close, I saw it now. He only said one word.
"Sorry" Then we hit the ground. But it wasn't as hard as I expected. In fact, it felt soft. And dark. What was going on?
I opened my eyes. I wasn't on the ground, I was on top of Solus. His wings were around me, protecting me and making sure I didn't get launched away. He had taken the impact so I wouldn't get hurt. But there were other, more immediate, things on my mind.
"Are you ok Solus?"
"y-yep. Fine. A little bruised but I'm alright."
As he spoke he sat up, making me sit up as well. His cheeks flushed up, blushing, and after a second I realized why.
We were almost touching noses, my hand on his chest to steady myself and the rest of me laying on him.
We didn't move for a moment, then we quickly untangled ourselves from each other, both of us emmbarrased.
"T-thanks for saving me"
"N-no problem. Sorry I lost you there."
"I-Its ok."

Susie went on a walk across See More the park. Suddenly--
The word 'suddenly' adds suspense, and makes you want to know what happens next. You read on, often quicker, to match the pace of the story.
When your ending a chapter, put something that finishes your thought, yet has potential to open up the next chapter. I'm not sure how to make an example of this, so just look at the last sentence or words at the end of my chapters. It SHOULD make you think, make you wonder, what is going to happen next. Or even make some theories in your head for later in the book.
Out of curiosity, what do you think is going to happen next in my book?
@moonston
I hope I'm not confusing. that's one tip.
@moonston
For example, Ash (which can be a boy or a girl), has problems with their magic, and feels like Solus is kind and mysterious. She thinks he is powerful, but holding See More back.
In Solus's opinion (which I don't want to spoil anything so I'll be vague), doesn't feel right in the class. He is different, and everyone knows he's differernt, so he hides his secrets and thoughts well. In chapter 7, he starts taking more notice in Ash, cause she helped him.
