Chapter 30- Angel Of Death
I gasped and stumbled, grabbing onto my dresser for support. I was at home again, in my room, like nothing happened. I looked around and shivered. I knew I wasn't dreaming. Why had he teleported me back? What did he need help with? I was annoyed.
At the same time he had intrigued me. I wanted to know what he knew. I wanted to know how to help him, and what he meant about feeling connected. I was confused.
Realizing how tired I was, I crawled into bed and shut my eyes.
The next day I crawled out of bed and got dressed. My first thought was of Scratch, my second of Solus. I Should tell him about Scratch, but if I did that then would Scratch meet up with me tomorrow? What if Solus got mad? What if he thought I had betrayed him? Doubts swirled in my mind. In the end, I decided not to tell Solus. But I was feeling lonely. Maybe I should try and talk to Scratch instead.
I thought back to last night, and his words came into my head.
"Arise.. Azriel?" When nothing seemed to happen I took a deep breathe, forcing strength into my words.
"Arise Azriel!"
For a few seconds nothing happened again, and I was about to give up when suddenly a dark blob appeared on the ceiling. It spread as I watched amazed. Then suddenly Scratch fell out of it, stumbling, and fell on his face.
He was wearing a black t-shirt and pants, and looked miserable.
"Scratch..?"
"What?"
He got up, brushing himself off a bit embarrassed.
"Did you just..?"
I motioned falling from the ceiling, and ended it with a splat.
"I don't like talking about it"
"But how did you just- Nevermind."
He looked at me for a moment then sighed.
"Why did you call me anyways?"
"Because I'm looking for anwsers."
He sat down and looked at me.
"Go right ahead."
"What does 'Azriel' mean?"
He was quiet for a moment.
"It means 'Angel of death.'"
"Angel of death?"
"Yeah."
"So a angel that kills people?"
He smirked and looked at me.
"I guess you could say that."
"And arise... So does that mean 'Rise angel of death'?"
He looked away. Realization hit me like a brick.
"You."
He didn't look at me, staring at a bookcase.
"Does that bother you?"
"No its just-"
"Crazy. Yeah."
I was quiet, studying him.
"Is that what you are or what your called?"
He smiled a little, grim.
"In a way both. But it is my name."
He looked at me. His purple eyes were captivating. They were mysterious, compelling... kind.
He laid a hand on my cheek, holding my face in his cold palm.
I felt close to him. Closer then I have with anyone before. As if that simple touch made it intimate.
I closed my eyes. I liked this.

Susie went on a walk across See More the park. Suddenly--
The word 'suddenly' adds suspense, and makes you want to know what happens next. You read on, often quicker, to match the pace of the story.
When your ending a chapter, put something that finishes your thought, yet has potential to open up the next chapter. I'm not sure how to make an example of this, so just look at the last sentence or words at the end of my chapters. It SHOULD make you think, make you wonder, what is going to happen next. Or even make some theories in your head for later in the book.
Out of curiosity, what do you think is going to happen next in my book?
@moonston
I hope I'm not confusing. that's one tip.
@moonston
For example, Ash (which can be a boy or a girl), has problems with their magic, and feels like Solus is kind and mysterious. She thinks he is powerful, but holding See More back.
In Solus's opinion (which I don't want to spoil anything so I'll be vague), doesn't feel right in the class. He is different, and everyone knows he's differernt, so he hides his secrets and thoughts well. In chapter 7, he starts taking more notice in Ash, cause she helped him.
