Chapter 29- Fate Entwined

"Guardians are more attached to mortals. Typically in the olden days they would watch over a family and keep them safe. Their very loyal, and would die for those they care for."
"Wow.. Why do you think Solus is like that?"
"Because he doesn't get mad easily, he makes an effort to keep you safe, and he can't kill anyone."
"That's not true. I'm sure he can."
"I sense no demon blood on his hands, and he has been encountered by enough demons."
"That doesn't mean anything."
"Are you seriously trying to convince me he is a killer?"
"N-no I--"
"Then please don't argue. He's not. Guardian angels can't kill people. Its simply not in their nature. Now, if they were mad, they might be able to do some damage but never anything deadly."
I thought about it. It made perfect sense. When Solus was fighting scar, he could have easily killed her at the beginning of the battle. But he didn't.
"Tell me why your mentioning the royal angel family."
He nodded, "In order to do that I might as well continue."
"Wren had no children, or even a lover. At least, that's what the baselines say. But there was a mention of a boy.
I raised a eyebrow.
"He's gay?"
"Most likely. It doesn't matter honestly. Just thought I'd mention it."
He cleared his throat. "Anyways, Drake had a noble wife that died in the war. Bane, however, is a little more mysterious."
He continued, "Bane fell in love with a protector girl. She was among the middle class, not poor not rich. They got married and were said to have a kid, but no-ones certain."
"You think that Solus is Bane's kid..?"
"Just a guess."
"But..But that would make him royalty!"
"Yeah. Then again, there's a good chance I'm wrong, but you never know."
"Why do you think he's royalty anyways?"
"Because like I said earlier, his power level is strong."
"I have one more question."
"Yeah?"
"Why are you telling me all this? Why do you trust me?"
He looked at the moon, quiet. Just as I was about to ask again he spoke, cutting me off.
"It's.. Complicated."
"Please tell me."
He sighed.
"I feel connected with you, as if our fates are tied together. And I have a feeling that we can be good friends or at the very least allies. I need your help as much as you need mine."
"Who says I need your help?" The words came out sharper then I intended. He looked away.
"Alex will capture or kill Solus."
I opened my mouth to speak then shut it, thinking.
"And.. What do you need MY help for?"
"I won't say."
"Why? If you tell me I can help you." I started getting annoyed. He looked away.
"...I don't know if you can."
This was confusing me. I crossed my arms.
"Scratch, tell me what's--"
"Don't."
"Don't what?" I basically shouted, annoyed and surprised. He turned away from me.
"I'm going to send you back now. Speak to me tommorow night. If you want me to come, shout 'Arise Azriel!" And I shall come."
"Wait what about--"
"Bye, Ash."
He waved his hand, glowing with energy, and everything started spinning again.
