Chapter 18- Worthy
I sat down with Solus on the bed."Can I see your wounds?"
he hesitated, then sighed.
"Fine. but.. don't poke them."
I unwrapped his bandages. Underneath...Oh god. I felt like throwing up. He was bleeding so much..
"bad huh?"
"d-don't act so casual about it. T-this is serious!."
"It won't kill me, or come close to killing me."
"T-that's not the point!"
It looked like he had been stabbed, and then cut open along his stomach. On his lower back, there was also a cut. The edges of the wounds had a silvery sheen. He had lots of little cuts placed across his chest and arms like he had narrowly dodged slices.
But wait, that couldn't be right. The demon, Alex, had a whip, not a sword. Unless the whip had blades on it...
"Tell me what happened."
"You wouldn't like it."
"Please. I was confused at the time, I couldn't see what was going on."
"You blacked out for a day, you don't need to hear bad things."
I sighed. Then I did something I couldn't explain.
I leaned up and kissed his cheek. He blushed a lot
"Please."
I saw him cave in. He nodded. Then he did something I didn't expect. His eyes glowed, and he touched my forehead. Suddenly I was in another place, at another time, with another point of view.
Solus was standing, his wings spread like a shield. His sword in his hand, the tip hovering just above the ground. I saw someone laying on the ground behind him, and realized it was me. Alex was smirking, holding his whip.
"What do you want from me?" Solus asked. I felt what his emotions were. He was mad and upset with himself for getting me dragged into his fights. He hated having his friends hurt on his behalf. But he hid it behind a cautious expression.
"I want your pain, your suffering, and your immortality. Give it, and I'll gladly be on my way."
"Your insane if you think I'll stand by and do nothing."
"You won't have a choice!"
Alex shot his whip at Solus's neck, but Solus put up his arm so it wrapped around it instead.
I could hear Solus's thoughts.
'He's fast.. But I can do this. He needs to pay for hurting Ash'
Alex yanked on the whip, forcing Solus to get close to him. Then he brought out a knife with his other hand. But the knife wasn't steel, or iron... It was a beautiful silvery metal I had never seen before. Solus's eyes widened.
Alex tried to stab Solus but Solus moved out of the way, getting a thin cut on his side.
"If this is the best you can do, Your not worthy of being an angel."

Chapter 9 is done
After all, I am a whiz with quizzes
Susie went on a walk across See More the park. Suddenly--
The word 'suddenly' adds suspense, and makes you want to know what happens next. You read on, often quicker, to match the pace of the story.
When your ending a chapter, put something that finishes your thought, yet has potential to open up the next chapter. I'm not sure how to make an example of this, so just look at the last sentence or words at the end of my chapters. It SHOULD make you think, make you wonder, what is going to happen next. Or even make some theories in your head for later in the book.
Out of curiosity, what do you think is going to happen next in my book?
@moonston
I hope I'm not confusing. that's one tip.
@moonston
For example, Ash (which can be a boy or a girl), has problems with their magic, and feels like Solus is kind and mysterious. She thinks he is powerful, but holding See More back.
In Solus's opinion (which I don't want to spoil anything so I'll be vague), doesn't feel right in the class. He is different, and everyone knows he's differernt, so he hides his secrets and thoughts well. In chapter 7, he starts taking more notice in Ash, cause she helped him.
@moonston
I'm really glad you like chapter 6, I wasn't sure about it
