So I'm sketching this little comic about a young East and North is trying to find him a piano teacher but they all deny him because he has twelve fingers
And East is always all beat up because he always gets jumped at school for being different (not just his fingers, but he doesn't play sports. He acts more feminine and stays inside, does other girls makeup, plays with girls hair, ext. He basically acts like a girl because he never wants to go outside and play in the dirt and See More mud, it was never his thing)
And I'm just shook because East just got turned down for the seventh time and he's just crying and Idk what to do because he's just a precious bean who deserves all the love

In other words
If you want to make a freaking Titan Shifter OC for Attack On Titan, there are literally like ten of them already, so go ahead
If you want to make an OC for Black Butler that has a demon butler, is a demon, or is literally anything weird like a circus member of even a freaking doll, then go ahead
If you want to make an OC for Bleach and they're a freaking Quincy, or a mix of something, or an Espada, or even a freaking CAPTAIN then go ahead
If you want to make a See More CP OC that has bright pink hair and is gayer than gay, then go ahead
If you want to make an OC for FNAF and it's an animatronic, then go ahead.
Just give your characters wonderful stories about WHY they have all of what they do, make sure that they don't just have it because they have it. If your OC is a MLP and they're an alicorn for no reason, then that's going over the line. Give your characters stories that makes sense and tells people why they are how they are. Don't just let them be something because you want them to be, give them a reason for it. There is a reason for everything, give your character a reason to exist. Rather than just be some other OC, give them life. Give them something that matters.
They exist because of you, don't make them be nothing more than a self-insert or super-ultra-mega-powerful because that's what you want.

What annoys me is when someone makes an OC and everyone bashes it for being a Mary Sue but...
Ciel Phantomhive has a demon butler, Ciel lost his soul so now he's a demon AND still has a demon butler. He owns a manor that burned and got rebuilt EXACTLY as it was before. His backstory is sad and depressing because his parents died and his dog and he became static and almost lifeless because of it. He's the Queens "Guard Dog" and survived things that he really shouldn't of. He's See More basically Hot Topic with his edgy personality. He has three manor-keepers. One of them is a fu cking no-scope sharp eye shooter, another is as strong as West, and another is a guy who blows and shoots everything up.
Ichigo Kurosaki was supposed to be a substitute soul reaper and what happens? Substitute Shinigami, Vizard, Hollow, Vasto Lorde, Quincy, Soul Society's Savior, and then he's the literal king of Hell. He died MANY times and still somehow came back to life. He lost his powers and suddenly got them back. He beat the strongest Captain in the Soul Society with ease. He slaughtered Number Four, one of the strongest Espadas. He beats literally every enemy thrown at him and gets women thrown at him. He doesn't even need his friends to help him with anything because he's so over powered.
Now let's get into something more dark
Creepypasta is supposed to be a dark, horrific thing that is supposed to make you fear sleeping at night. Making you fear stepping out of bed because something might be under it, fearing opening your eyes because you think someone is there standing over you. It's sup-

Candy Pop is a flamboyant and colourful killer. Bright colours and looks at his clothes and weapon? Actually, Candy was the first colourful and flamboyant Creepypasta made, and what happened? People loved him. Jason back there is also very overdressed, and he has the special thing of changing his hair colour and eye colour when he's angry. He can't die unless his special little box is destroyed, and makes toys seemingly out of thin air.
See? If I were to make an OC and give them the same qualities as ANY of these characters, I would be BASHED for making a "Mary Sue". Tons of canon characters are Mary Sue in some way, and it annoys me to no end when someone makes a character and it would actually be accepted into the show/book/movie/whatever because other real characters are like them...but then the community just bashes them because it's too "Mary Sue" like.
