Is this okay in the fandom world? is it okay to be a fan of someone who's in a band, but despise the actual band itself...? Would I be persecuted for it? O.O

nope, as ong as you never say that you only care about that band because of whos in it, If you just say who you fangirl over and stay clear of mention of that band you'll be fine^^
