trump is very inflammatory and it’s hard to tell if he’s actually going to do what he says. mass deportations (including first gen citizens) sounds unrealistic and hopefully it won’t become a reality, but that would be incredibly tragic emotionally and economically. cost of living will go waaay up. but if we’re going by numbers, more deportations have happened under obama and biden so far ๐ฅด and the tariffs, which i do believe he’ll implement, will be devastating for our wallets, See More especially me in my line of work. and then as an arab i worry for my people over there, but i always will. both parties hate us ๐
ffs i know people who were victims of obama. and then with a republican house and senate there’s definitely a high chance of nationwide repeals on abortion and lgbt rights which is defo scary. there was a majority democrat house and senate last time holding him back.

Agreed! I know he is doing tarrifs in exchange of income tax (which, I don't think income tax should have ever been a thing) but not sure how well it will work out in action, you know? Plus he's lifting restrictions on AI, which is mostly done overseas. Idk how that will work with his tarrifs plan.

this country is going down the gutter, regardless of the winner. i've been disappointed in both sides, but majorly trump, so i'm upset at the results. i wish the green party had more prominence in this country, but elections have always been a money game. trump's plans to "save the economy" are shoddy at best (those tariff plans??! hellooo), and i am scared for my immigrant friends and family who are here without full citizenship. i would like for my oma to stay in this country. See More i am scared for my queer and trans friends who feel unsafe with a republican house and senate. i worry about access to reproductive healthcare as someone interested in IVF in the future. it is an especially scary time to live in a conservative area, that's for sure. ๐๐๐

I remember EVERYBODY (including me) freaking tf out in 2016 over the results. Most of us had far-left politics due to the nature of the site. I'm WAY more moderate now, and after having a freak out and being scared of Trump doing the stuff people said he was gonna do, then, I'm pretty chill with the results. I have some issues with aspects of his policies/plans, but if Joe/Kamala couldn't manage to successfully undo the damage he did by overturning Roe V Wade, I'm pretty optimistic See More he won't get much done, either.
Ofc, I know practically nobody will answer bc this site is actually, officially dead besides bots.
