Need HELP Desperately! My homeschooled group is having a annual showcase. And my mom wants me to perform a descriptive paragraph lecture. I don't know what to write. And my mom wants it to be about 'Why I like descriptive writng, how useful it is in writing etcetc' but I DON'T WANT TO DO THAT! I just want to write a nice dreamy paragraph and read it to everyone. so to sum it up... two problems: 1. how do I break it to mum that I don't wanna do what she wants me to do and 2. what do I even write about!? (I'm so stuck) thanks. ;)

Explain her that you are not interested on writing something like that.You should write about something that interests you.Then only you'll know what to write.

um, just brainstorm about what you want to write, then once you come up with an idea you can start writing. As for breaking it to you mum, I would just tell her, not to harshly. I don't think she will really care if you say it nicely and you write a good paragraph anyway
