I think you should make a story based on something you like.
Like many people here like Divergent, so they write their own fan-fic story for it.
And me, I'm obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog, so I write a lot of Sonic stories.
What I'm trying to get to you is you should write a story based on any fandom that YOU like.
So for example, if you like Harry Potter, then you should write a Harry Potter fan-fic story. Go for it!
