Is my best friends really my friends?! Please help me decide! So long story short my best friend Halle became like besties with this girl Sara. I was fine with it and me and Sara became good friends last summer. Plus, Grace (one of Halle's friends) came into our friend group. We were all really close then this new girl Ashlyn came in and she seemed all sweet and innocent. For a few weeks I was fine with Ashlyn and then one day I saw all my friends and they completely changed! Halle said hi and gave me a hug but everyone else was glued to their phones and talking to Ashlyn like they've known her for years. None of them said hi or bye and none of them (except Halle) acknowledged me the whole time. This summer I've only seen Halle once and that's it! Ashlyn stole my friends and changed them. Please help!

Invite them round (try without Ashlynn so you can see if it's her that's affecting them) , to do something that you can't have phones for like swimming or biking. If they don't like that kind of stuff, what about baking? Something involved hands so you can't have phones ANYWHERE.

Ok, something like that has happened to me, my friend megan started handing out with new people, and she is calling me names and saying that im sefish and an idiot! We dont hang out much anymore but she is getting nicer!
but back to the point! If they are glued to their screens the whole time, text them about how you feel, they'll get the message (literally) and maybe they will talk to you about it, or you can tell your principal that your school should have a tech free day and See More anyone caught on a tech device gets detention! :D But @BlueTurkey is right, have them over including ashlyn. But tell your mom you feel this way she can help!

You should talk to your friends calmly about how you feel about them spending too much time with Ashlyn. They might understand and realise that she has changed them.
But if it is too late and they have already changed too much to go back to being themselves, then you should try your hardest to be nice to everyone around you so that people will want to be friends with you.
Then stick with the group of friends you have, but make new friends as well, and if you really don't like See More your group of friends, don't be afraid to go off with your new friends!
Then if they ask why you have made new friends, just tell them that they have changed because of Ashlyn and that you don't want to be a part of their group anymore if they're going to act so mean.
About Halle, well, see what she thinks and if she wants to go off with you. And if she doesn't want to, think like I would in this situation and do what your heart tells you to do, not what other people tell you to do.
Hope I helped,

So let me tell you a sad story: The exact thing happened to me. My best friend, let's just call her A, was my best friend (duh right?). I didn't think anyone would get between us ever. I had a lot of good friends too. So 8th grade comes around and this girl, L, came back to the school (there was a lot of drama around this girl and most of us were sure she would be problematic). First couple weeks I actually liked her! We became friends and did lots of girl talk but then very slowly See More she started to go to the dark side. She started becoming that stereotypical white girl and I just didn't like her BUT ALL MY FRIENDS DID SO THEY STARTED TO BECOME HER. It was only until the last quarter A started to come around again and become my friend. She's not your friend but don't lose faith in your friends!

That's one of the shames in today's time, everyone's on their phones and iPods 24/7. I'd say take 'em away and break their devices, but that's vandalism so DON'T do that.
The only one that what it seems to be is that they could care less about devices and prefer to hang out with you seems to be Halle.
This girl, I used to be "friends" with bassicaly controlled her mother so she had unlimited talk and text, and made her mother get a iPod for her.
This girl, she could care less See More about others feelings she only cared about gossip and others lives, she had none of her own.
One day we both had the same class something frustrated me so much that I slammed a chair down and stormed out due to lack of help of me asking for help and no one giving me help. The girl didn't chase after me to see what was wrong, she just kept her eyes glued to her computer screen.
So if most of them are not even acknowledging you're there, they are not worth your time and effort.
But if you do wanna try to help fix you guys relationship, invite all of them over, including Ashlyn.
Make sure one of your parent's home.
Make it a "electronic free" area for the day, if they do bring electronics tell them to keep them with your parent for the time they're over so they cannot be distracted by the devices. If they refuse to hand them over if they bring them, kick them out and that proves they aren't worth being your friend.
But if you all get over the devices part all well, talk to them about how all you guys friendship has been doing. And tell them how you feel about how it's going and how you feel about the relationship.
Lull sorry for it being so long. :P
Good luck!

Self control. All these choices about not taming your mind or the extreme is BS. It could all be a trick or a test, breaking out will make them more distant. If your friends cant control themselves then fine, leave it. Its easy to acknowledge calm, but easy to walk away from chaos. Real friends are real, and if their fake, their not real friends. Drama is very nasty, and possibly can get you to have no friends at all. If they dont need you, you dont need them. Its simple. Leave See More the situation alone, its an ambush.
