Mr Ewell died trying to kill scout and Jem. Jem gets unconscious and broke his arm. Boo Radley saves them both. Scout's ham suit actually saves her life. And it ends with Atticus reading scout a bed time story. My class is reading this, though I finished before winter break started. Try the second book it's awesome, I read it after the first one. Heads up on the second one, Jem died of a sudden heart attack( I think)
